Kobe appears to be enjoying the roses as much as you. That appears to be a bulk ore ship in the distance. When I was a kid I spent my summers at my grandmother's cottage at Burlington Beach (the strip of land that seperates the western tip of Lake Ontario from Hamilton (Burlington) Bay, and I used to fish on the pier of the canal in that strip and watch those ships sail through on their way to and returning from Hamilton's Steel Company of Canada. At that time they were the biggest ships I'd ever seen in my young life. Maybe that's why it was so unbelievable to me that the Edmund Fitzgerald was sunk by a lake storm.
Although on our many winter Florida vacations we mostly stayed on the east coast, once we did stay on the west coast, and of course the sunsets were memorable. What I think I recall is that the sand was finer than on the east coast, and my kids made great sand castles.
On my way to pick up my grandson yesterday, I happened upon these, and actually remembered to bring the camera.
The second Sunflower shot is obviously a close up of part of the first. I got interested in the pattern shown in the center. Next is from two years ago; one of my favorites.
The desert in bloom is very beautiful I was in Joshua Tree for a weekend one spring after a very rainy winter (remember those?) and watched as the entire desert floor turned into blankets of flowers. You almost could not step anywhere without stepping on some.
The picture is from a cactus we have growing in a pot in our yard at home. Notice the very sharp spines?
I have enjoyed seeing your recent depictions of the love of a mother for her child - they are quite heartwarming. Lately I've begun to wonder if Mother Earth has such love for us....
On the other hand, perhaps I was fooled by your saying it was an OLD one, because you did recently post one showing those flames and explained it was a Shaman ceremony.
I love the colors of this lily and how the two contrasting colors actually compliment each other. The way the petals curl and the stamen reach out to the world as if to say, "Hey! Look! Look at me!" The up close photo shows the intricate details of the lily, and looks like I could reach out and smell it fragrant aroma.
I put a handful of new cherry shrimp in with the betta last weekend. I was a little worried the fish would try to eat the little shrimp, but so far he's just a little curious.
Thanks Buzz. He does seem to be in deep thought. I gave a lot of thought to how to frame this one, and experimented with several techniques. However, I decided that a simple frame was all that was needed, as the subject speaks for itself.
Beautiful Mac. As a young girl I went night fishing with my Grandfather. It was magical to sit out on the lake in his boat, with the star lit sky and their reflections on the water. It's an experience I have never forgotten. Sitting in an ocean of stars.
Show your stuff, say-your-say.
Have some business this morning … but go ahead and post.
I say your art is outstanding.
Beautiful photos, one and all Mac.
The usual magnificent photography. So what else is new?
We did a quick walk through the Rose Garden at Leif Erikson Park in Duluth last weekend.
Kobe is like, ''this is my park, you got that stranger''...LOL
Great photos EG.
Those are great photos. You dog is certainly looking at something intently.
"Your"

I'll match your Rocky Mountain Sunset with a Florida sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.
Beautiful photo Kavika
Point & Match!
Love the sunsets from the beach. Very surreal and peaceful.

Great photos Rock.
Those are very nice. I especially like the one with the red stripes.
Excellent photos, Rock. Nature is a very creative artist.
Nice range of "distance-to-subject"!

It almost looks like a painting G.
Quite beautiful.
Thanks Kavika
A superb landscape captured by a superb photo, made even better by the inclusion of people in it.
Thank you
Cactus flowers

Beautiful flowers G. I love looking out across the desert and seeing all the brightly colored cactus flowers at blossom time.

Very true, G. Seeing all the various flowers and colors is truly an awesome to sight.
Something I've never seen in real life - and they are a sight to behold.
Here is my Thursday artwork. I hope you enjoy it.
That is very nice.
Thanks G.
I have enjoyed seeing your recent depictions of the love of a mother for her child - they are quite heartwarming. Lately I've begun to wonder if Mother Earth has such love for us....
Never doubt it. Unfortunately, there are those who do not share Mother Earth's love.
Nice effect placing the subject in smooth "crystal" spheroid.
Thank you very much Mac.

A very beautiful array of photos, Buzz.
Terrific photos
Thanks to each of you for giving us a great start. Keep 'em coming!
Another old piece of artwork....
I don't recall seeing that one before - Is it another Shaman ceremonial thing?
On the other hand, perhaps I was fooled by your saying it was an OLD one, because you did recently post one showing those flames and explained it was a Shaman ceremony.
It's not a Shaman, it's a Fire Bird, Buzz. Or a Phoenix as some call it.
cool
Thanks dev.
Amazing
Thank you G.
Day Lilly in our yard in Missouri.

Very nicely done!

That's a cool photo
That is strange, as most Bettas I have ever had would eat anything smaller than themselves, or fin to death any that were bigger than they are.
A FANTASY image …

Double thumbs up!
Were they fishing for starfish?
And a beautiful fantasy at that. Just awesome Mac.
A fantasy image of a different sort... Guys?
Tokyo Girls © G.G. 2020
OK, what's the back story, G?
Oh... nothing...
Sure,
LOL. You know my weakness for Asian girls. These may LOOK like Tokyo Girls, but they're Chongqing girls...
Yeah, I've been waiting for your comment about this one.
Nice photo by the way.
Perfection!
Springtime for Tucker (2016)
Oh man that is just beautiful, EG
Oh, I thought you meant the Torpedo.
Here is a new one for Friday...I hope you enjoy it.
Good one RW.
Thank you Kavika. I'm glad you like it.
Great image!
Thanks G.
If I were to provide a caption, it would be "Deep in Thought".
Thanks Buzz. He does seem to be in deep thought. I gave a lot of thought to how to frame this one, and experimented with several techniques. However, I decided that a simple frame was all that was needed, as the subject speaks for itself.
One more fantasy image, then goodnight, and, let's keep this going through the weekend.
Fishing by Starlight.

Good to see they got the boat into the water. They're in a good place to catch a falling star....
Spectacular image.
Beautiful fantasy Mac. It's almost as if the two old fishermen are now doing their fishing from the heavens.
It's almost as if the two old fishermen are now doing their fishing from the heavens.
I hadn't thought of that when I made the image, RW. It's a perfect title and I will use it in the marketing.
Many thanks.
You are most welcome. I am glad to be of help. (smile)
awesome
Here is an artwork for Sunday..
STUNNING!!!
Thank you Buzz. I'm very glad you like it.
One more.

A wonderful array of beautiful flowers. A true fantasy Buzz.
Appears we’re at the end of the road on this week’s feature.
Thanks to all who participated.
Not so fast, Louie.
Very nice, Buzz. I love the various shades of blue, with the bright contrast of orange. Well done!
Thanks for saving the day!
How about one for Monday...
One of your most beautiful creations, RW.
I agree.
I'll let the song say it....
Thank you Mac. I'm very happy that you like it.
Thanks dev.
Thank you, Buzz. One of my favorite songs.
I'm in for Monday.

Approaching J.M.W. Turner.
That's a beauty Mac. The water bathed in the glow of the setting sun, and stillness of the water rally makes for very serene and peaceful setting.
Very nicely done.
