The woman whom this article is about speaks Chinese, and the captions at the bottom of the video image are very hard to read, so I have transcribed them here for your convenience:
I drew all the porcelains inside this building.
The designs, and all the things were done by me.
There are 72 genres in the porcelain industry and I know all of them.
My brothers and sisters all disagree with me.
They said "You are 80 now, don't do it anymore".
I said "You're making a mistake. I am 18, not 80."
That is an amazing person - started building that place when she was 80.
What an incredible building and person.
Classic.
I guess I should have posted this seed on the Creative Arts group. Otherwise there's not much interest on this site in arts, culture and anything that isn't American.
In fact, that is what I'm going to do.
I have posted a link to this article on this week's Three-Day Weekend article. Hopefully, in time, that won't be necessary.
Love this work.
