Don't see many eagles around here. Mostly red tailed hawks on every post.

Owls and barn swallows buzz me on a daily basis.

Not sure if they like me or hate me.

Your top photo of a hawk is a timely tribute considering the world's recent loss of the fabulous Robbie Robertson, whose group known as The Band was originally called "The Hawks" as a backup band for Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins.  Left to right in the image are Richard Manuel, Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Ronnie Hawkins, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson.

Ronnie-Hawkins-the-Hawks-300x210.jpg

"With drummer and fellow Arkansan Levon Helm, Hawkins put together a Canadian backing group that included  guitarist-songwriter Robbie Robertson, keyboardists Garth Hudson and Richard Manuel and bassist Rick Danko . They became the Hawks, educated in the Hawkins school of rock."

Yes, I do have black and white variations and sepia tone variations.

This is one of the black and white variations.

Not so much these days.

Very good.  The usual "Variations on a Theme" in music adapted to images.  Warhol did that as well.

I had a client long ago whose backyard was on a course and he didn't play golf. I spotted a couple golf balls in his yard and asked him if he tossed them back on the course. he laughed and opened his garage door where he had 2 of those blue plastic 50 gallon drums. one was filled and the other was about halfway. he told me he sold them back to the golf course as used golf balls. the windows of his home that were facing the course had plexiglass shields.

Used to dive for golf balls on the course that dad and I built in the 60s.

Modified a bicycle side cart basket that worked even better.

I would sell them on the first T

I saw this cool little statue at an antique store.  Sometimes when stuff catches my eye but isn’t in my budget I just snap a quick picture of it.  Then I can at least have a nice subject piece to experiment with.

One of our two resident eagles landed in the shade by the CG restaurant and said ''It's too damn hot to fly, I heard they have good cheeseburgers at the club''.....He sat there for 1/2 before he left.

The ducks agreed that it was too damn not to fly, but did add, ''Don't mistake us for cheeseburgers.''
