Checking that article is a good idea - not only fantastic photos, but a great story about the photographer.

Good to see your image of the kind of Autumn landscape I used to know so well.

I do sometimes miss the colours and the cool crisp atmosphere of Autumn.  I posted all my photos of Autumn scenes last weekend except this one, and this one is all that's left, a picture of what's all that's left at the end of Autumn.

By the way, the latest advice is to not rake them but leave them to dissolve and soak into the ground - best for the environment.

I saw some weird creepy video footage of an alien like creature on the Syfy channel yesterday and took a photo of it to make this:

And these are a couple little gargoyles I picked up in a Paris souvenir shop.

A beautiful autumn day in Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota. I spent many days here when I was a kid. Photo from the internet.

With apologies to Bob Dylan....

Where have all the posters gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the posters gone?
Not so long ago
Where have all the posters gone?
Gone to politics every one
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

"Go ahead and hate your neighbor

Go ahead and cheat a friend

Do it in the name of Heaven

You can justify it in the end

For there won't be any Trumpets blowing

Come the judgement day,

On the bloody morning after

One tin soldier rides away"

Hey, don't just "hate" your neighbour, SHOOT the miserable s.o.b. cause surely everyone's got a gun and an itchy trigger finger.

"Where Have All The Flowers Gone" was written by Pete Seeger in 1955.  I think there may be a live recording of Dylan singing it with Joan Baez from 1963.  So, you would owe Pete the apology, if he was still around.

You're right.  I searched the internet for the lyrics and at the top of the lyrics they wrote Bob Dylan.  Now I searched again and at the top of the lyrics they wrote Peter, Paul and Mary, but following that were a lot of references about Pete Seeger having composed the song.

I met Pete and Toshi personally on board their yacht 'Clearwater' when it was docked in the Hudson River in the late 1960s.

PP&M and the Kingston Trio probably did the most well-know versions.  Both are really beautiful.
