“Pale amber sunlight falls across
The reddening October trees,
That hardly sway before a breeze
As soft as summer: summer’s loss
Seems little, dear! on days like these.”

Welcome back to Creative Arts Group Three Day Weekend
A double pleasure to see the perfect matchup of a lovely image with a lovely poem. I'm going to try to see if I can do half as well.
Check the article at the link below.
Only if you want to see images of lovely women and learn about a beautiful tradition. Very few NT members are interested in such esoteric delights.
Trees (Joyce Kilmer)
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
.
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
.
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
.
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

We know that we will always be / When new life grows from an ancient tree. (Buzz)
.
Well done!!!!
Thank you, I didn't have any robins among my photos so I had to improvise that stanza.
I have a new project I've started. Plants have been ordered and will be in next week. But until then here's one of my favorite October photos taken way back in 2016...
Superior WI on the right, Duluth MN on the left and the aerial bridge in the center.
On my way home one night a while back.
Fantastic - they look like cotton candy mountains.
The lake at dusk...............
That's beautiful. This is my weekend mornings.
And this is where we live during the week, looking over the cow pasture.
Beautiful views..............
Thanks, A drastic change from where we grew up, but it fits us where we are now in life.
Morning George..
Do you happen to take in overseas free loaders??
With views like that I might just have to jump on a plane..
I do sometimes miss having a view like that.
Grew up in Los Angeles, so I think that makes me appreciate the view more, not that there aren’t beautiful beaches and Mountains out there, they’re just not an everyday thing like I enjoy now.
And I’m 100% sure that your view is equal to mine, you have wife and family who love you, there is nothing more beautiful than that.
View of Table Rock Lake from our front porch.
Gorgeous.
Beautiful view!
Great start!
This photo was taken from by friend's front porch in Asheville, NC a few years ago. Beautiful fall colors and the morning mist hanging over the mountains.
That's like a dreamland.
Thanks, Dig.

Wow. I do sometimes miss a verdant view.
Edited travel photos.
Top notch!
I really like your photos, but I wish I could look at your photo of the Eiffel Tower all at the same time, of course having to scroll does emphasize its height.
I do it all on my phone, and on my phone the images are formatted to fit the phone screen. If it’s showing up differently on your device I’m not sure why that would be.
You can try right-clicking on the image and selecting open image in a new tab. That should open it whole on a new page.
The width is perfect, it's the height I was speaking about.
that worked perfectly, thank you.
Morning...my SIL cherry tree in their backyard... hopefully we get some cherries before the possums do...
Bing?
Arvo... huh?

Interesting.
Two of my favorite sunset photos. The first one is Long Key, St. Pete Beach, FL on the Gulf of Mexico.
This one is a sunset at the ''Chimmy'' a part of Minnesota on the Canadian border that juts into Canada and is surrounded by Canada and Lake of the Woods.
A pair of blue ribbon images!!!
Thanks, Mac.
I always thought the lower photo, which you've posted before, was one of the best sunset photos I'd ever seen.

One of our two resident eagles was just lounging on my roof. Quite a sight isn't it?
you better put a tarp over your windshield...
Very "American", LOL.
Morning... very regal and majestic looking bird...

As I was coming off the mountain today there was a rainbow over Mt. Marcy (which is obscured by clouds).Of course, not the best picture. Didn't have my camera.
It's okay, Thomas, we can still use our imagination. Anyway, it's still a nice scene.
So here is another, also taken using my phone.
A perfectly composed image and an excellent subject.
Thanks to all, see you Thursday night.
