Nice bird, but it's the stuffing I miss the most.
November 2019 was the last expats Thanksgiving Dinner buffet banquet at the Hotel Intercontinental in downtown Chongqing that ended because of the pandemic, and has not been reinstated, so all I have are the photos and the memories they rekindle of my last taste of turkey and stuffing.
First, the appetizers: sliced smoked salmon rolls stuffed with cream cheese and a chopped vegetable salad.
.
Next, the turkey and ham. There were also lots of different vegetables but I passed on the mashed potatoes because I make that at home myself anytime.
.
One of the desert tables - many different cheeses, grapes, pineapple, watermelon and other melons There was also a Haagen Dazs ice cream cart. I didn't bother with the pumpkin pie but I did take some cherry cheesecake.
.
And the FIRST but not the last full plate of food I enjoyed: (clockwise from 8 pm) turkey smothered by cranberry sauce, ham slices, green beans, sweet potato fries, grilled mushrooms, something I don't remember, penne in a sauce and under it all my favourite, stuffing.
My wishes to all - a Happy, Healthy, Safe and Delicious Thanksgiving Holiday.
Hope everyone had a fine week. Earlier this week a new customer who was marveling over my office tank came back with 2 good sized ficus retusa trees. I think - he was thinking I could use one in an aquarium like I have in my office. To use the current tank I'd have to completely take it down and start new making the ficus the focus. OR I'd have to find a place to put up yet another tank.
For those who don't know... The ficus retusa is where most beginner bonsai hobbyist start. I am not a bonsai hobbyist, but it looks like I may start now! LOL. Ever since I started in the hobby I thought about doing a bonsai tree island in some kind of aquascape design. There is a Japanese guy on YouTube, Asu, that did a really small one a few months ago. It was fantastic and very close to my idea.
If the ficus refusas maybe you should focus on something else.

Stunning gardens, G and great photos.
Lovely gardens, lovely photos.
Morning GS.. it's amazes me what man can do at times with Mother Nature and what we can create for the enjoyment of all..
But sometimes we seem to be so busy shooting and blowing each other up we forget the simple basics of life and what we can do to benefit all mankind..
Great photos..thanks...

Arvo. What a cutie...very subtle colours..
Not my photo but just came back from a few days away and saw plenty of Blue Wrens...
Was a tad wet while I was away but the rain was most welcome..
Looks like you should be wearing boots.
You should watch your language around here - kids can see this stuff.
I’ll keep abreast of that.
LOL. Good comeback.
These photos were taken at Silver Springs State Park, about half an hour from our house. The Silver River is spring-fed and maintains a constant temp of 72 degrees. The Manatees head here when the water in other places drops below 72 degrees which is deadly for manatees. The water is crystal clear and you can see the bottom clearly at 20 to 25 feet. There are numerous types of fish, Gators, and of course Manatees.
In the 1950s the TV program ''Sea Hunt'' with Lloyd Bridges had some of its episodes filmed here and this is the original sign and dock from that filming. The face in there isn't Lloyd it's RED.
