I Paint, Therefore I Am ~ But I have "Given Up Painting" & Restarted Many Times ~ So, when I'm not Painting, Does it Mean "I AM NOT"? ` on Creative Arts Three-Day Weekend

RED BOX RULES: AN IMPORTANT REMINDER
From time-to-time, I should remind all members of NT, etc., that when posting photos, artwork, etc., it's important, when posting, that you own, and/or legally represent the licensing, copyright, etc., of what you post, and TO PROTECT YOUR WORK, TO INCLUDE YOUR COPYRIGHT SYMBOL/INFORMATION; and/or, WHEN POSTING COPYRIGHTED PROPERTY BELONGING TO PARTIES OTHER THAN YOURSELF, TO …
• BE SURE YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO POST, TRANSMIT, etc, SUCH PROPERTY, and,
• IF/WHEN SUCH PERMISSION HAS BEEN GRANTED, TO PROPERLY AND CLEARLY ATTRIBUTE THE COPYRIGHTS TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNER(S).
VERY IMPORTANT … IN THE FUTURE, I WILL REMEMBER TO POST THIS CAVEAT REGULARLY.
Thanks, A. MAC
I haven't painted for a year or so; I think at one point, I didn't paint for 20 years before starting again, then stopping again. In those gaps, I have asked myself if I stop for "fear of failure," or, "fear of success."
Anyway, I do have some 20,000 photographs and digital art work "out there" …
What to do?
Regardless, share your creativity. We're back.

There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”
—John Adams

At 69 am damn lucky to still be alive.
Oh yes, 'Paintigo ergo sum'. It's good to see those paintings again. Looking at them is something like looking at clouds and finding figures of animals and things in them.
It seems that every decade or so I summon up the inspiration and the motivation to complete a few canvases. Over time my technique and confidence have grown but I get how you feel. Reviewing my old canvases, I much prefer those where I painted with mature abandon and note how my color palette became much brighter over the years...
Art is a shot at a sort of immortality much like writing. Whether anyone will want or appreciate our art in the future is a crapshoot. I have seen too many good paintings not sell at estate sales lately.
great x3
This is a friend's dog named Muchkin.
You know I like samich's too.
Shouldn't that be 'Munchkin', from The Wizard of Oz?
You're correct, I misspelled his name, for goodness sake don't tell him or he'll make a samich out of me.
Do more painting, Mac.
I greatly appreciate the kindness.
Much thanks.
Just for a little variety...

The third one is the only one I didn't edit. Can anyone say what it is?

I can't think of what to say. Well, okay, I have to say that your comment is unusual. The LensCulture judges would love it - you should send them the whole 5 in that same sequence. Actually, I think I need a new pair of glasses. Speaking of LensCulture and their "Artistic" contest, do you think one of the images I posted above would please them more than what I sent? I think maybe the guitar or the butterfly.
All five are the same image just with different color variations. I know that the viewer can't really tell, but it is a beach scene. I like them as a group and in that configuration, therefore, I gave them a collective title.
As for the Lensculture competition, your guess is as good as mine. I can't even decide what I might enter. You might want to submit the guitar or the butterfly, or even the rose.
Hey A.Mac. It's a contest for 'Art Photography' and since your name is Art can you tell me which one I posted above that you think is the best. Since you have good taste and the judges don't, I won't submit the one you choose. LOL.
Not sure which images I’m sure to pick from. Buzz or G.
I've survived another AEP... The OEP continues, but we are almost through our current client list. Hope everyone is doing well! We are experiencing warmer than normal temps this week and melting some of the surface ice that had accumulated last week. This sunrise shot of WI Point was taken back in 2016 and has far more ice than we have today.
aep, oep, wtf...
Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare coverage insurance. Open Enrollment Period for individual & family medical insurance. It was a very busy month... I agree wtf...
I thought that photo was an example of really peaceful tranquility, and then I realized that the lighthouse might also have a foghorn. LOL

So, where are the kangaroos?
I corrected your comment so that the text was in the right place. Next time try leaving a space between the text and the pictures.
One was on the loose in Oshawa, near Toronto, for a while a few days ago but finally got caught.
That would be very far from home. Are you sure it wasn't a loose moose?
Morning G..
There you go..meet Roger..
About as rare as a loose moose in Australia, I'd say, but here you go...
Morning..I try that but for some reason sometimes it won't do it..
I only have my mobile to use so not sure why it deletes the space...yet other times it looks right...so stuffed if I know..
Feel free to correct it etc..
He looks deadly. Is that a red kangaroo? When I was at the Lone Pine Koala Reserve near Brisbane you could mingle with the eastern greys because they were docile, but they told us that the red kangaroos were dangerous and they were fenced off.
Your 'roo is much better behaved than the one in Canada.
That kangaroo must have taken one huge leap to end up in Toronto.
I don't think you would want to found out how that kangaroo behaves. Red kangaroos can use their feet to disembowel you or go for your throat.
Photo from Wikipedia.
Yes he is a big Red..you don't mess with them as once they get mad you are in deep doo doo..
The Easterns are more docile but will have a go at you if they feel threatened or think their Joey is in danger...
There is a video you can google don't know how to put it on here called..
"Kangaroo shoved through fence".. it's absolutely hilarious and they are Grey's...if anyone can put it up on here would be most grateful..
Now that is a ''Boomer''.
Gotta watch out for those "reds" (but Kavika's okay with his.)
Woah.
That's the one ..thank you Kavika..🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lucky it was only a little roo otherwise the officer maybe not be feeling to flash..🦘
Go Aussie..😁
freakin' oz jackrabbits...
Try just posting a period in the space you put between pictures and between text and pictures and I bet they'll come out right.
LOL

Nice. Are those created digitally or by some other method?
They are acrylic paintings some on canvas, others on glossy paper. Obviously I photgraphed them and created digital files.
Super. What I meant by seeing images - on the far right I see a horse's head, and to the left of that a rabbit. In the centre near the top I see a fish, and there is lots more down lower.
The term for it is "POLYREFERENTIAL".
Okay, your paintings can be polyreferentialable.
Xuanzang and the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China (© G. Gam)
My photo of the Wild Goose Pagoda when I was in Xi'an to see the terracotta warriors isn't as good as yours. It was taken from too far a distance. There was a time, long ago, that you and I were going to put together a series of photos on Xi'an.
Yes, we were. What happened to that? Got busy, I guess.
Canvases of three of my acrylic paintings.

Arvo...wow they look great..
You have a great talent Mac..
I thank you for your kind words.
For the viewer, seeking out images in the painting has to be as much fun and relaxing pastime as lying on one's back on a day of fluffy white clouds, discerning images from the cloud formations.
This is amazing, when we first moved here six years ago we would get perhaps half a dozen, each year the word spread and more and more came. This is by far the most we have ever had.
It's always fair weather when good fellows get REALLY together.
OMG, their in the Mafia?
The Mafia??? LOL Good Fellows, not Goodfellas.
December sunset, Stone Creek, Ocala FL.
Thank you, Kavika, for not letting me forget what a beautiful sunset looks like.
Calling this one as closed until next time.
Thanks to all.
