A Happy, Healthy, SAFE. and Prosperous New Year to you and yours as well, A.Mac.
And that is a fantastically imaginative image.
What is a Yeat? is it W.B. Yeats?
A fair question; will correct tomorrow.
I wasn't going to say anything about the typo since I've already got a ticket problem this month.
You’re starting early in the new year.
Crikey Devangy.. maybe you need to sloth out more, stop and smell the poison ivy and breathe and hold your breath for at least a minute..🤣🤣🤣
Don't waste brain cells on the small stuff...take a holiday you could come Down Under and meet the snappies, bities and stingies...they love tourists..😁😁
Happy New Year.. health, wealth and happiness always....🐨🦘🐊🐙🦈
Due to my waning vision I didn't even notice it.
I'm soooo popular ...
Breakfast, lunch and dinner? Saw the movie.
Y'all have the most dangerous critters on the planet!
We wouldn't be without them... respect them and you are pretty right, most of the time, usually..well...
you're all top of the 2 legged tucker chain on the oz rock...
chain, ladder, pile, whatever...
Wood duck skimming along little lake Arlington in Stone Creek.
quack, quack quack, quack, quack quack. (Happy New Year to all)
I love wood ducks. Gorgeous birds, the males at least. Every now and then I see them in the little pond in my yard.
Now, entering the realm of imagination...

An artist friend sketched me almost 35 years ago - use your imagination.
Didn't you die back in 1955?
I particularly like image #1 and image #4.
Do you know what number 4 is?
Why don't you tell and then we will know?
It may resemble a cityscape skyline, but it is stalagmites behind a pond in a lit up cave in Guilin, Guanxi Province, PRC.
It does look like a cityscape skyline but on closer look I thought it might be stalagmites. Interesting.
I thought it a fitting image for a topic suggesting we use our imagination.
Notice that the caricature of me is "To Buzz". "Buzz" is the nickname I've had since I was 4 years old - my mother named me "Buzzy" when she saw me running around with the other kids in the kindergarten schoolyard with my arms outstretched making buzzing sounds imitating the Spitfires that were defending England at the time. She knew that Theodore Roosevelt's grandson was a pilot who was known as "Buzzy" Roosevelt. By the time I left high school it got shortened to "Buzz" and has remained with me to this day.
Happy New Year to all and I hope it is a good one...
Meet Hercules just a deadly funnel web spider...a bit bigger than normal..nearly 8cms long..
Fangs can pierce your finger nail..he has just been found and donated to the Australian reptile park. He will be used for milking and creating anti venom..he looks kind of cute..
Does he have family there? So besides sharks and crocodiles you probably have snakes as well. Attracts lots of tourists?
... not with my past history involving aracnids. spider meet broom, and then right foot in nike.
Nasty...😊
only in the treads of the sneaker sole...

That's gorgeous - so vibrant!
Thanks, Sandy.
... and the one next to it.
They are both sitting on a cabinet in the front entry of our house along with some other items.
Do you know where they were made?
The larger one on the left is from Japan. I assume it was made for export because it says "Japan" in English stamped into the metal on the bottom. The smaller one on the right is, I believe, from China. It has a Chinese character etched in the metal on the bottom. I purchased the larger one many years ago, and the smaller one was an inheritance from my parents.
I always believed that identification of source was important, and I believe what you said about their origin, but my nephew, who also taught English in China and invited me to come and he would get me a job teaching English (which is how and why I ended up here) filled me in about some of the tricks with names and promotions used here. He told me that there was a town in China where a lot of manufacturing of clothing takes place, and they renamed the town "Italy" so they could put "Made in Italy" labels in their products, and that if only one drop of olive oil is put in a bottle of vegetable oil they promote it as an "Olive Oil Blend". LOL
nice!
Thanks.
More imagination.

Actually, it's inside-out!
No it's not..looks perfectly normal to me..😁

Is it a statement on the world turmoil these days?
Thanks to all; see you Thursday night!
