For my sweetheart, Red on Valentine's Day from her loving Indian. Still going strong after 43 years.

This is how the conversation went...Red, I'm taking you out to the best restaurant in Ocala for Valentine's Day. Oh, Kavika that is so sweet of you. Kavika, this is a Pizza Parlor, not a 5 star restaurant..Red, in my heart it's a 5 star restaurant. Kavika I'm never going to believe you again. Red, we've been married 43 years do you know how many times you've told me that? After a lot of side eye looks and a couple of harumps they delivered the pizza and Red's heart melted...LOL, am I romantic or what???

One of the best small naturalist collections of paintings is housed at The Amon Carter Museum of Fine Art in Fort Worth, Texas. Thomas Eakin's "Swiming", 1885 - at only 27 inches by 36 inches, is housed therein...

My bad. Thomas."Eakins' The Swimming Hole" is at Anon Carter which  specifically highlights smaller yet highest quality American western and natural art...

Fort Worth's Kimbel Museum of Art is top rate but a more international collection.

Actually, the belly on the make is about the same as that of the female, the difference is in the red crown. The male crown is fully red.

Damned ornithologists.  Then why didn't they call it a red-CROWNED woodpecker.  Are they blind?

Red Crowned is still different from Redheaded.  But calling a bird red bellied when it isn't red bellied is like calling a horse a camel.

American weekends seem to be getting a little long.  Could it be wishful thinking.  To me a weekend is normally two day, sometimes three days, but it's kind of rare that they stretch into 4 days, because then the weekend is longer than the rest of th week.
