It's about a very different concept of creative art.
My first sign of spring is not visual, it is audio. There is one certain birdsong that when I hear it... ahhhh
What bird is it, Thomas? I might be able to find an audio of its song on Microsoft Bing Search.
I think it might be the white throated sparrow.
Are these the sounds you're hearing? LINK ->
.. a may blizzard.
Evening...no signs of summer here I am afraid..🥶🥶
Mr brushie possum is back..he took the apple out of my hand last night.
Guess he wants to keep the doctor away.
He loves mandarins as well and bananas..
I never learned mandarin but I do eat a banana a day.
I haven't been posting much the past few months due to some injuries that have confined me to a wheelchair so I've posted some older photos and some from the Stone Creek photo club and will be doing that for some time to come.
This is how I feel currently:
Hey, that's awful. Get your legs back soon, okay? I'm not posting photos these days cause they're gone with the dead computer. I do have the most raw originals on flash drives and on my camera's memory chip.
Thanks, Buzz.
I wish you the best and hope you recover soon! The puppers is so cute...
Thanks, evil.
Keep us posted; quick recovery.
Thanks, Mac.
Get better soon!
Thanks, G.
I feel you brother. had to buy a new cell phone 2 weeks ago, when I left the store my cell phone goes off. I look at it, trip on the curb and fall, and jam my elbow into my chest trying to save myself. ow. my annual physical is 3 days later and Dr says I cracked a few ribs. on the plus side, at least my brain thinks it's still only 27...
Sorry to hear about your accident, cell phones are dangerous things, lethal at times.
Old ribs crack easy, old brains just lay around.
cracking my skull would've almost been preferable...
Morning Vangy.. nothing like going a good gutser to wake you up suddenly..
Glad you are not badly hurt, though cracked ribs are no walk in the park..I sympathize after I walked into a door frame last year and fractured one..
Gutser means heavy fall as in your case..
Been through the cracked ribs thing, did in a subway in Boston in 1995. I do feel your pain. Heal well.
all my falls are slow motion now...
thanks amac, a little tender, but I'll be fine...
Morning....Vegemite can fix that...or if you prefer a croc, shark, snake, spider, irukandji jelly fish or ........
... uh, thanks, but no thanks...
But, but...
I really do have your interests at heart..😇
... clearly evident to all here.
Evening Kavika...
Yes it is always hard when the human body packs up and you can't do the things you want to and love..
But slow and steady as you go, take it a day at a time and remember tomorrow is the dawn of another new day..
Big hugs from across the Pacific..
You are strong in mind, body and soul...🦘🐨
Not my photo..
Thanks, shona.
Here we are on the whale watching tour.
To get shots of the orcas in the rain I used my 200 - 600 mm lens under a $3 rain poncho and some gorilla tape.
Evening evil.. brilliant photos...
The whales have just started coming into the harbour here..one advantage they swim up and down the pier about 20 metres from it. So no boat required but they do create traffic jams on the pier...
They roll on their sides and watch the people as they swim past..we mainly get the Southern right whale..not the most attractive of whales but we love them..
We also get the humpies (Hump backs) and Blue whales going past the head lands about 15 kms away..
Not my photos..
Thank you Shona! My wife was hoping to see some bigger whales, but they were at the start of the season when we were there. Perhaps a future trip someday...
It must be very exciting to see them cavorting.
Morning evil.. just looking at the orcas again and some of them appear to have yellow markings..
Is that normal or just the angle the photo was taken? I have only ever seen black and white orcas..
Happy Monday! The naturalist with the tour said they start off with the yellow markings as babies. They get more white as they mature. This was a family pod of 4 and I got more shots of the baby because it couldn't stay under as long as the adults.
Morning.. Tuesday here already and our weather looks like what is in your photos..but probably a bit warmer here though..
Thanks for that, I didn't know they were born with yellow markings just thought they were always black and white...
Good mornning shona1. Nice morning here as well, hope to go for a nice walk today.
Morning Buzz..real mixture today..had rain, was very over cast and blew a gale last night..just now we had thunder and now got blue sky and sun..
As they say 4 seasons in one day..
Probably pass on the walk have to go shopping...got a list a mile long and the cat us running out of food..if that happens its riots and hissy fits...
great shots, but not my favorite kind of weather in that region...
Thanks! I rather enjoy the cool rainy weather. It's the heat in Phoenix where my kid lives that I'd prefer to stay away from.
nobody sane goes out in the heat in phoenix, but you could still spare a few degrees of latitude south without slow cooking...
try the mountains where it's a lot cooler and harder to breathe for midwesterners...

Good ones. I particularly like the framing of the third one - it makes a good photo even better.
Xièxiè.
Someone drew this cat on a picnic table at a brewery I visited, so I turned it into a piece of art. I’ve seen worse attempts at making art.
You've got a good eye, Hal.
Haven’t posted anything today; first time in a while my wife could walk for an extended period of time because of decreased hemoglobin levels due to her chemotherapy.
Also sent some videos to a friend.
Be safe and well everyone.
Evening..good to hear re the walking..
I think I was one of the lucky one's.. radiation and chemotherapy didn't have to many disastrous effects on me...
Take it slow and steady as it is amazing what the human body can do to recover..
Best wishes to you both from across the Pacific..
Adding my best wishes from across the Pacific as well.
Best wishes to your wife and to you!
I second that!
Most appreciative of good wishes from good people; thank you.
And if we're not so good but still send good wishes, you don't appreciate it? LOL
Never look a gift horse …
Saying thanks to all for this week's article … see you Thursday night.
