Many thanks to Buzz for keeping this going in previous weeks.
welcome back, amac!
5 nice choices ...
I thank you.
You're welcome. Glad you're back, as well. Your images are quite interesting and unique. The second and third ones conjure for me the line from Bob Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man: "Take me on a trip upon your magic swirling ship". Most of all I enjoyed the 4th one - there is so much to look at.
Wonderful images. The bottom one is amazing.
... something familiar about that image. I like it too. do ya think amac is testing the memories of his aged members?
These are all new although the top image is one of a number in a series of similar image concepts.
Good to see you back!
Don't have anything good this week but good that you are back
For a change, I'm posting again some magnificent photos that were taken by NT member Bob Nelson that he had sent me to post on his behalf, which I did many years ago. The photos were taken while cruising down the Li River through the weird Karst mountains between Guilin and Yangshuo in Guanxi Province, China. I took that cruise as well, but his photos are better than mine.

.
And for a change of pace, a reflection.
Well, let's continue with an assorted bunch of my photos:
1. This was taken at the site of the Leshan Giant Buddha in Sichuan Province
.
2. Actually this one was taken by my daughter of her dog Cam.
.
3. Fishing in a park pond in Sichuan Province
.
4. Another scene from that same park
.
5. The windows of a building in that same park
.
6. A wall plaque in an ancient village in Sichuan Province
.
7. Articles on display in a shop in that ancient village
.
8. Wait a second, they're not baseball players coming out of a cornfield.
My sister 3d printed me this dragon mister for my desk at work.
SUPER!!! What an amazing concept 3-D printing is. They're even building houses from massive components that were 3-D printed.
Still out of sorts, but I'm still hr and enjoying the photos posted.
Well, take it easy and get back well soon.
No reason why members shouldn't see one of the spectacular sunsets that Kavika has photographed. Without your permission I'm posting one of your sunset photos. Don't sue me.
Wow.
No worries, I will not sue you but I might Sioux you.
No fair, you KNOW I've already been Ojibweyed.
LOL
Morning...yes mother nature at her best..
Been at her worst here...been blown off the face of the earth for near on two weeks...making up for a mild winter I think...
Even poor old fozzy out the front is hanging on like grim death..

Beautiful. I love your colors!
Thank you very much!
nice. amac's street scene picture made me think of some of your other work.
Thanks, dev. I really like his street scene image.
haven't you posted the actual picture of your work above here before too?
I have posted other pictures I took at that location, but I'm pretty sure I haven't posted the original, unedited version of that particular image. Maybe, I don't think so.
my memory is pretty wonky at times, and that basic composition is iconic, it must've struck a familiar chord.
Morning... Pretty wonky .
Vegemite can fix that.. permanently..
... that rot is the commercial version of witchcraft. it even looks like some kind of black magic, in a jar. does vegemite also come in a tube or an aerosol can? does it require refrigeration? ... you know, to keep it from smelling like how it looks ...
Stunning, G.
Thank you, Kavika.
Is Monet one of your ancestors?
Monet is one of my favorite artists. This Wikipedia link has a huge gallery of his water lily paintings. He painted 250 in total, but I didn't count to see if there are that many in the Wikipedia gallery.
maybe that's what jogged my memory on your piece. I used to hit the seemingly rare touring monet exhibitions years ago. one of my elderly female clients was a somebody with the art museum downtown and I'd get in as a guest.
He had a pond with water lilies on his property, so it was a handy subject.
Morning... would have been an excellent croc billabong (pond)..I am sure the croc would have loved the flowers munching on a human..
especially a human that's been eating high fiber vegemite ...
Adds extra flavour..🐊
As long as Monet did his painting from the bridge over his lily pond he would most likely have been safe - at least he would have time to run if the crocs started crawling up on land.
OK... We're into dueling water lilies...

Morning...mine in the fishless fish bowl in my yard...
The kookaburras got the fish years ago so never replaced them...
Photo of a kookaburra..
They have the most brilliant laugh and are great snake catchers..
Not my photo..
One of my favorite moments when we were visiting Australia was when we were staying in Noosa Heads and went one afternoon to visit some people who lived in a wooded area in the Noosa Hinterland. We were sitting outside enjoying the afternoon when suddenly we heard a kookaburra laughing loudly echoing off the trees (coolibahs?). Quite an experience. Those folks also had a small pond on their property (maybe a billabong?) with several waterfowl including some very young ones. At one point some sort of large lizard swam over and being attacking the young birds. The older birds tried to chase off the predator but it managed to nab a couple of the young ones (I don't think it stowed them in its tucker bag).
The whole Noosa area was exceptionally beautiful.
sushi, kookaburra style...
blood thirsty sparrows, ripper ...
Evening g...that sounds like a Goanna...yes they will eat pretty well anything and will climb up you if they think they are in danger..they have exceptionally long claws..
Noosa is a very nice part of the world..
Not my photo..not particularly keen on them...
Morning...they are also partial to prime cuts of steak taken off a bbq while cooking...
As I found out and my Scotch fillet steak ended up in a gumtree...
I was not a happy Vegemite..
The ones I had outside my city and lakeside homes in Canada always had a cover like this one...
Maybe you should have invested in one like that.
Various figurines I picked up at some antique stores last weekend. I like highly detailed pieces to add to my art collection. This one is only 1.5” tall.
This one is about three inches tall, and I didn’t even notice that he is carving a face until I zoomed in on the photo I took of it when I got home.
This one is about six inches tall but has great detailing.
This one is a cast iron piece about three inches tall.
Fantastic. Your home must be starting to look like a kind of menagerie. Sure beats collecting stamps or coins.
In deference to the first day of autumn.

Morning...the changing of the seasons here is the first day of the month...
1st September is Spring, 1st December is Summer etc...
Good thing for you, shona1, that there's gravity, cause otherwise you could fall off. LOL
Huuhhh..
The World looks perfectly fine to us up here...it's you mob that are below us..
Besides Vegemite sticks to everything...
meh, upside down is how I've visualized most of the famous oz sheilas over here ...
Nice geese, but the colours and reflections on the water make that photo very special.
Thanks to all; lots of good work here. Back on Thursday night.
