Just a sample of some of the colourful beauty of China. I can't explain the shifted slice in the bottom photo - that is what the original source showed as well.
Pretty pictures, Buzz.
I don't see the slice at the bottom photo.
Maybe it's an optical illusion, but to me it looks like part of the road at the middle of the picture has been shifted to the right, but now I realize that it could be because of a dip in the road.
It is a dip in the road.
I think that what fooled me is that there is a kind of horizontal line across the photo at the near side of the dip.
Some snapshots from earlier in the week...
Very nice. Thank you for posting them. What are the two man-made objects in the bottom photo?
Okay, I'll try again. Is the orange thing a monorail car? I still can't guess what the metallic thing at the bottom is.
The orange one is what we call a monopod - It's a stick of bamboo painted orange with a round, plastic disc, used in the winter to help demarcate where one should take care. The thing on the bottom is the rear corner of my wheeler.
Okay, thanks for alleviating my curiosity.
First glance I thought it was an arrow..
What amuses me about the photo of a house on an island (or peninsula if it is attached to land at the bottom right) is the long run the residents would have to what looks like an outhouse (the smallest building). It would be a bad place to live for a person suffering from diarrhea.
Posted a link to this article on this week's Three Day Weekend article.
Thank you.
Arvo.. excellent selection of photos Buzz..
Love the one of the Forest with the sunlight streaming through...
Always something about the glow the sun rays produce..
Yes, I've always liked the sight of the sun's rays streaming through the trees.
Great photos, Buzz.
Yes they are. Mine should be so good.
How did this week-old seed get resurrected? No comments have been posted for a week. Did someone just vote up the seed or a comment, and would that do the trick?
