Last gasp of Summer...sob..️🏖️
I'm going to greet you with one of YOUR bird photos, A.Mac.
How long ago had you posted that one?
Could have been 3 or more years back.
My bird photos are all pretty old and posted more than once, so I'll do something else. We're starting to get some Spring flowers happening here, so here are some Spring flowers previously photographed in February and early March.

Nice and springlike.
Got snow here at the moment, and it hasn't been above freezing for days. Next week is supposed to be nice, though.
Talking about winging it... Here is my first attempt at Kokadama with a syngonium plant. I think I need to do a better job tying the moss up on the outside. Using thread to tie up anything isn't my strong suit.
The plant came from the basket of plants my office had sent to my mom's funeral last October and my wife found the bowl for me at a local thrift shop. I created the soil ball with peatmoss, potting soil and some akadama soil and used sheet moss from the local greenhouse I stopped at a couple of weekends ago. The sheet moss is tied on with green cotton thread.
Each day I pull the plant out of the bowl and soak the moss ball with the kitchen sink sprayer and then squeeze out as much water as I can and return it back to the bowl.
Unusual and Excellent.
You have an admirable relationship with your vegetation.
Morning...that looks really great evil and what a lovely way to remember your mum with the plants...
I was stuffing around the other day and came across this plant.. thought it was truly stunning..it's a butterfly Begonia..would love to get one..
That is a perfectly named plant, and a lovely one as well.
I love begonias. That one is stunning. I’ll have to see if I can find one too.
My photography skills are far below other contributors here, but I love getting out on a walk and taking pictures of all the gifts of mother nature.
Your photos are always welcomed and I think we all agree, we're not competing, rather, sharing and communicating.
Okay Robert, I know what the top and bottom birds are, but what is the one in the middle?
It's a MALE, American Goldfinch.

I'm really impressed by the "poster" effect of the second photo. It's fantastic.
Thanks.

Great photo.
Fly Away Home.
These tiny plastic figures are less than an inch tall and probably pretty old. I got them for fifty cents each at an oddities store. They are fun for photo editing.
When I scrolled down and saw the "I love you" I burst out laughing too. It's an apt picture for the Year of the Snake.
I get pictures of this guy or maybe his ancestors and descendants, most every summer and I never get tired of waiting
Good one.
I was at the local auction house and saw these old ESSO figures. Neat old advertising
that somebody saved for years. they will probably bring a good price.
LOL. They're great!!!
Tomatoes growing in the window, with grow lights. That is what gives the purple color.
These are volunteers I dug up as very small plants before frost last fall. I have seeded others too.
If it warms up next week, I will repair my greenhouse again to get ready. Spring is coming sometime.
Wow!!! You ARE a man of many interests and talents. I have loved tomatoes all my life. I used to watch my father eat them like an apple. However, the Chinese people have no idea about leaving a regular tomato on the vine until it ripens - they pick them when they're hard, their skin thick and the inside white and hard. I eat tomatoes almost every day with breakfast, the cherry or grape tomatoes because at least they're relatively ripe enough to be red right through.
Arvo... some tomatoes I picked yesterday that I grew...
Beautiful. I wonder if I can grow a tomato plant on my balcony. It gets the sun most of the day.
No reason why you can't..alot of people do that here grow them in pots etc on verandahs and balconies..
I hate having to buy supermarket crud after having home grown tomatoes...
