Photo taken just outside of Broken Hill, Australia in an area named ‘’The Sculptures’’, stark and beautiful nothing for 100 of miles excerpt wild goats, emu’s, roo’s and sheep and cattle.

I meet more relative's here they ran a ‘’cattle station’’ (Cattle ranch) which around 1,000 hexacres or 2500 acres. Had huge dinner of goat, rice, roo and assorted other goodies, sine they are aboriginal and Poms it was an interesting time to say the least and i loved it so did Red.

Our family now has another culture and race to join the tribe we now have.

We shall rule the world soon.

Have you ever had a chance to meet shona1 while you're in Australia?  Another Australian member is Waykwabu.

I’ve not met either, Buzz. Shona is a ways south of Broken Hill, Waykwabu is in WA a couple of thousand miles west of us.

Morning Kavika..glad you had a good time with the rellies and on the station..throw in the Vegemite and we are unstoppable..

Currently I am in Queensland out Toowoomba way..has rained since Tuesday non stop and not seen the sun at all.. it's midnight and it's 26c and a bit humid..lot of water laying in the paddocks...

Have been busy spraying cane toads that infest the area..one squirt of Dettol and they are dead..

Here are some pics of the Hibiscus growing in my cousin's garden.

is that less expensive than leaving vegemite accessible on the ground?

Big, ugly and deadly. This is what you get when an invasive species is introduced to an area.

A cane toad...an introduced pest that has spread across northern Australia and slowly coming down south..

They are virtually indestructible and kill and eat native animals and plants and are extremely toxic to animals that do try and eat them..

Dettol kills them dead and when I am in Qld I do my bit to exterminate them..😁

Introduced, and no predators of it.  I thought they learned the lesson from the rabbits not to screw around with the balance of Mother Nature.

Nope...they were introduced to get rid of another pest...sugar cane beatles in 1935..

Cane toads ate them and then moved on to other plants and animals..and now are in plague proportions...

Still...

In the dark the silence howls like a banshee

Light...

Creeps across the sky. The bringer of spring

Hear..

The bird-song I have waited for...

Spring is here!

Yesterday I spoke of spring,

With the birdsong and warmth that it brings.

Today the fog and cold of rain and ice,

coat the trees. But inside it's nice
