No need to keep it "light" … any/all creative posts (including commentary, critique, etc.) are welcomed.

Am I wrong to think that "twilight" is a dim evening light with no direct sunlight, as the sun would be below the horizon?  If that were so, there would be no sun's rays, except perhaps that could be seen in certain conditions aiming upwards only.  I think that taking a photo against the sun would provide the best opportunities for adding flare for it to appear natural, should it not be natural.

As for something new and not seen before, this is the only photo I've taken in the past couple of weeks due to inclement weather and my not getting out much.

All truly beautiful pictures, Buzz. Love the glints of sunlight in each.

There are several phenomena in nature regarding crepuscular rays, not all occurring at twilight …

Crepuscular rays /krɪˈpʌskjʊlər/ (more commonly known as sunbeams, sun rays, splintered light, or god rays), in meteorological optics, are rays of sunlight that appear to radiate from the point in the sky where the Sun is located.

Works either way Buzz.  Both styles are absolutely beautiful.

Me too Buzz.  Only difference is that I've been working on my lawn mower and my neck and back hurt like fire.  I did, however, finally get the lawn mowed, thanks to the help of my 9 year old grandson, Greyson.  He did a super job, but I can't see it much because I can't turn my head to the left at all.

As most of you know I have a small art collection. I also have some books that are collectors items. One is the 1st edition, signed by the author, Charles Banks Wilson. His book, ''In Search of the Purebloods''...contains 77 pencil drawings of Pureblood Indians..The term pureblood means all blood from one tribe. If one is 75% Ojibway and 25% Dakota they are a full blood but not a pureblood.

This is one photo of a drawing of a Kiowa Apache. Yes, Kiowa Apache is one bloodline it is not part Kiowa and part Apache. https://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/kiowa-apache-tribe.htm

Charles Banks Wilson wrote this to accompany the drawing.

''Family and neighbors sat about the room watching as I drew in his sisters home in Anadarko (Oklahoma). This 67 yr old man, his brother and two sisters are the last purebloods.

Although I could open the link to the description of the Kiowa Apache Tribe, and the great drawings in the links, I could not open the coded link to the drawing at the end of your comment.

There is no link there, just the pencil drawing. Can you goggle Charles Banks Wilson?

Some of his painting/drawing hang in the Oklahoma capital building.

His painting of Will Rogers is stunning and his mural of the ''Plains Madonna'' is outstanding.

Buzz,

It's like a Chief Gunner's Mate taught me in the Navy, "If it's electronic and it isn't working, it's because you're not using a big enough hammer."
