Thank you very much, Buzz. I like to leave it up to the viewer to use their own imagination to decide for themselves what their minds eye sees in the image. Sometimes there is no real meaning behind the artwork, just the visual appreciation.
I thought perhaps some of you would like to see a photo of my ancestral home. Red Lake Ojibwe Reservation, northern Minnesota.
The photo is of Upper Red Lake at sunset. I can't count the many times that I harvested Manoomin (wild rice) on the lake or the number of fish I've caught.
There is Upper Red Lake and Lower Red Lake. Lower lake is restricted to Ojibwe Red Lake members as is part of Upper Lake. The remainder of Upper is open to all fisherman.
I tried to post my comments in order but the site would not allow it. "Anticipation" described the buds, while "achievement" described the flowers having blossomed.
Thanks Buzz. I know the wood burls are your favorite. I started out using wood burls with my creations, and it is always good to get back to the heart of nature.
LOL! My Yoda Girl is in charge of overseeing the print jobs. If she sees one that does not look right to her as it progresses out of the printer, she snatches it out and slings it to the floor. Her break time is about every 10 minutes. (thankfully)
PLEASE NOTE: My wife is a cancer patient … she has her Doctorate in Nursing (Public Health) … AND THIS AFTERNOON WILL BEGIN SEWING SURGICAL MASKS THAT WILL BE PICKED UP AT OUR HOUSE and DISTRIBUTED WHERE CRITICALLY NEEDED!
Your wife knows what is needed the most, and making an effort to help even with her own health concerns. A Lady with a true heart to help others. Please thank her for all those who are in need of her masks in their efforts to help others, and those who are doing their best to keep the disease from spreading to others.
I'm sorry that because my desktop where my photos and editing program are located had crashed I am unable to find a repair service that has reopened yet, I must continue to steal photos that were posted on NT previously.
On nice days, my wife and I take walks in places like those depicted above.
POST WHATEVER CREATIVITY YOU WISH TO SHARE … and creative commentary is included in that.
Beautiful Springtime photos Mac.
All those shots are beauties. I am looking forward to having some buds on the trees.
I'm looking for a couple of buds as soon as I get home..................oh wait. Wrong buds. Carry on..................
"Did you ever stand and shiver, while just looking at a river"
More times than anyone would believe … for example …
Yep. That sure matches the quotation.
Dogwood Canyon June 2012. Little Indian Creek.
Indian burial ground deep inside that cave shown above.
Beautiful scenery, Kavika. So fresh and clean.
Really nice shot. Makes me look forward to warmer weather.
The rock formations indicate the ancient age of the creek as it dug itself deeper and deeper.
A Mac beautiful shots - we have some similar beautiful, simple country around here that we enjoy endlessly (except in the winter)
The Ashtabula River near Smollen Gulf
Great photo, RIO. Reminds me of some of the areas around No Virginia when I lived there several years ago.
Love the photo. Thanks for sharing RIO!
A little something to share on a rainy day here.....
I love it RW.
Thank you Kavika.
Beautiful Raven. You are very prolific!
Thank you very much for the compliment, Perrie.
An ethereal masterpiece, RW!
Thanks Mac.

Magnificent!
Thank you RIO.
Unique and effective. Your artwork begs for interpretations as we do not all have your knowledge of the culture.

It's a huge lake of over 288,000 acres.
The reflection of the sunset on the water does indeed make it look red. So very serene and peaceful looking. A truly beautiful place to call home.
Beautiful shot Kavika and a really nice place to grow up in.
Beautiful - a welcome reminder of the sunrise at my lakeside home, that faced south-east over the lake
Waiting to open
"Open, Open, Open......"
Open, sez me.
Wow, it worked I'll have to keep the ''sez me'' going....
It must be that power of positive thinking! LOL!
....and achievement.
What very obedient flowers! And what opening beauties!
Anticipation....

Upper La Junta Canyon, Northern NM
This is my wife watching the water flow at 9500 feet.
And here she is in a bunch of wild Iris at the same location.
Some of my most soothing times have been sitting beside a flowing creek like your wife is doing.
So peaceful and serene. Love the wild Iris, such bright and cheerful colors.
Beautiful and truly the ''High Country''...
A bit of wood work....
Now that is unique. Well done RW.
Thank you Kavika. I wanted to try something different with some unusual wood burls.
3-D burl - you KNOW I like those.
Thanks Buzz. I know the wood burls are your favorite. I started out using wood burls with my creations, and it is always good to get back to the heart of nature.
Love it.
Thank you Steve. Glad that you like it.
This is my new work mate. He's already asking if it's break time.
LOL, 15-minute break, potty time and of course lunch and a nap. It's all in his contract lady.

Good photos Buzz even though you committed larceny to get them.
