The only thing I have in the way of plants where I am now is Aloe Veras. They are in bloom now, and while their blooms are not that pretty, they do brighten things up a bit with all the rain we have been getting lately.
And they pup like crazy! They are the most prolific aloes I have ever had. I no sooner get them all cleaned out and they pup again. I have given away so many young plants to neighbors and friends that no one wants any more. And when I say pup, that is like a litter of 5-6 at a time, sometimes more.
Here is what the flowers on my Aloe Veras look like;
Beautiful flowers! Very similar indeed. I think my plants would be much bigger and have more and bigger flowers if I had them in a bigger pot. However, I am limited in space where I am now and so my pants don't much room to grow very large. I got my first little plant from a neighbor who was moving and didn't want to bother to take her plants. She said it would not grow much and likely would not pup as hers didn't.
Not sure what happened, but, the first weekend I had the thing planted in the pot it pupped! I was very surprised to see it pup so soon, and thought that would be it. But, it fooled the heck out of me. It blooms twice a year and pups every few months. So the flowers don't get very big, but, they are a really bright orange. That silly plant must like me. (grin)
I love seeing Mother Nature hard at work, and lighting up my life with such beautiful colors.
I don't remember where I got mine. Funny thing was I never planted the thing. I had just dropped it there and it started to grow and bloomed.
I love the blooms on yours. I like odd flowers. When I lived by the beach I had bleeding heart that had great blooms, in pots on my front porch. I have tried to grow them where I am now and no luck.
I don't think our bleeding heart is blooming yet. It's the first flower I look for after the daffydills bloom. Of course it could have died like my redbud tree did.
Beautiful blossoms Ender. My Grandmother had several of them growing in her flower garden, and I always loved to see them when we went to visit. I never had any luck growing them though. They were the only flowers I had no luck with. I think I paid too much attention to them, as my most prolific plants were the ones I paid little attention to. I left it to Mother Earth to take care of them and she did a better job than I did. (grin)
A couple more...
Beautiful Pat. Looks like Spring is in the air!
Pat, the article seems to be accessible!
Okay, thanks. I didn't see it anywhere.
Beautiful photos Pat. And I think I've fixed this.
Thank you, Perrie.
This article deserves attention … the flowers are beautiful, the photography and compositions, strong! Thanks for posting it, Pat.
Thanks, A.Mac I don't see the "promote to front page" button.
I wish they weren't on top of each other. I don't post enough photos to know the details. sigh
What a beautiful photo essay of flowers. Well done pat.
Thank you, Kavika !!
Pat, when this virus mess is over, I'm moving into your garden. I'll bring my own hammock and umbrella.
Ha, Sister ! I wish it were my garden. That's my neighborhood nursery. It's calming to stroll around there.
Come and visit. PN me.
Beautiful photos. Mr Giggles took photos of some of our flowers this weekend
Let's see them !
here are two of the bests:
Very nice.
At least we have flowers.
Thank-you. I can't wait for the lilly trees to start blooming. Too bad I don't have smell-a-vision

Found a pic on the internet.

I think those are beautiful! Do the hummingbirds like them?

Nice. Some unusual ones as well.
The only thing I have blooming right now are the hibiscus in pots out front.
I love hibiscus. And that one is very pretty.
Mine are red. it was blooming better in the house.
but tis the season to go back outside...
We have several different varieties of hardy hibiscus. The blooms are the size of dinner plates
A lovely color !
That is a truly beautiful color of hibiscus. I can't remember seeing one that color before. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Wiki Warrior Wonder Wiener ate the flowers in the pot by the front door. She thinks that she is a goat.
Haha A treat for when coming home after being out in the great wild.
The great wild, our front yard and flower beds...LOL
I tried to get Mr Giggles to get a goat or two. He looked at me and said:
"See all those pretty shrubs you have now? Say goodbye to them"
Very good to see this article receiving the attention and participation it deserves.
