Feral rabbits are considered Florida’s new “invasive species”.
In the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale, there’s a new “invasive species” to contend with in a state all too familiar with the destructive habits of non-native animals. The small community of Wilton Manors is trying to contend with the bunnies who are rapidly multiplying. They are digging holes, invading gardens and even chewing on outdoor wiring. And, of course, they are pooping everywhere. The city commission voted in April to exterminate the visitors after receiving an $8,000 estimate from a trapping company, but that has not happened yet. Perhaps another invasive species, Burmese Pythons, can help with the bunny infestation.

Some dumbass was breeding them and got tired of it and moved and turned them loose. They will not survive as they are a house pet without the skills to survive. The asshole that released them should be made to pay for this. Fucking people have less brains than the rabbits.
