A funny thing happened on the way to the forum or It's not always about common sense
It just shows to go you, that sometimes we get caught up in a seemingly endless storm of BS that it's hard to find a common ground. Todays social media is partly to blame here due to the fact that it is almost instantaneous. It's at your finger tips, that instant gratification of knowing that you can get your opinion out there no matter how well informed or ill informed it may be. We are contanstly bombarded by the talkingheads on television, in publications, and yes sadly the internet, that we sometimes fail to grasp the implications of our opinions. Life is already a complicated task to preform, what with all of its ups and downs, why do we have to muck it up more?
To what end does this instant gratification take us? Will it make for a betterment of society as a whole, will it make each and every one of us a better person or does it, as with just about everything thats instant, leave us a little more shallow than we were? Speaking of instant things, ever notice that instant potatoes just don't taste like potatoes? Just the same as instant coffee does not taste like coffee.Awww, skip it!
