I was not the photographer. If anyone can figure out haw those books don't fall off the shelves, please post an explanation.
Evening..great pictures Buzz..love seeing things about other countries...find it fascinating..
And must away as it is nearly midnight. Enjoy your evening.
Nice photos.
For the bookshop. If you look closely at the image of the shelves right at the beginning they look more like a picture of books on a shelf. It doesn't look like real books on a shelf until you get to the left side where it seems like there are four real shelves with books, then again it goes to a picture of books on a shelf going around the top until again on the right side down the spiral where it has a few real shelves, then illusion again. At least that's what it looks like to me.
I think you figured it out. It was a mystery to me. New and renovated bookstores in China are amazingly futuristic. Unfortunately there isn't a bookstore near where I live because I used to spend a lot of time in them.
Great photos, I love the spiral bookshelf.
To me that photo was too "busy", of course that is a 2-D depiction of the book shelf, maybe in the 3-D it might not be that bad.
There is a way to get the 3-D version, if it's possible, the photographer should take a picture then move over a few inches and take another, post them side by side the one taken to the right on the left and then focus in with your eyes crossing on the center photo then you can make out depth. This would also show you which books are real in the photo.
Nice. Love the iron works shot.
