'China threat' fallacy brews Asian hatred

An 18-year-old Asian student was brutally stabbed by a fellow bus passenger in Bloomington, Indiana on Saturday. The suspect was quoted as saying she thought the Asian was Chinese.
Indiana University confirmed the attacked girl was their student and blamed the attack on "Asian hate". What they didn't mention is that the Asian hate comes from certain US politicians' tireless "Chinese threat" propaganda.
In the late 1800s and early 1900s, when Chinese workers were building railways in the US, they faced discrimination too, being called "dirty" and "untouchable". Now that China is working to uphold globalization, they see China as a "threat".
That's how Asian hate emerged and has grown. By propagating the "China threat" theory, US politicians and media are widening the split in their own society and encouraging the US people to hate Asian Americans for no reason. By stabbing an Asian student, the perpetrator has exposed the danger that lies in US society.
The cheerleaders there invented the "China threat" fallacy to play international politics, but it is a toxin in US society. The policy aimed at pitting the rest of the world against China has successfully pitted US citizens against US citizens.
To bridge the deep social divide and curb Asian hate, what the US needs to do is not only profess love and brotherhood among different ethnic groups, but also give up its anti-China policy and policy of demonizing this imaginary enemy.

Even though I have been posting comments on topics about America that are on topic about America I have consistently been demonized by off-topic comments about China aimed at me. Recently there has been so much ignorance, fear and hatred aimed at China and although I have been up until now reticent about returning the gunfire, I've decided to start doing so. This one is just a start, and be aware that I will be enforcing the RED BOX RULES of the Confucius group.
The previous president did what he always did and still does, he went from love to hate and much of America floored the pedal to keep pace with him. You live in Bogeyland.
Yes, his "China virus" and "Kung flu" comments helped greatly increase the fear begetting hatred of Asians in America - quite a few stories about that were posted on NT back then.
Arvo Buzz....yesss and at times the Chinese government and people did themselves no favours either regarding covid.
China is not the topic, shona1.
There are two aspects to the "hate" of the Chinese. One is it is a way for the right to demonize the "left" which is what all this "Chinese Communist Party" obsession is about. It is a more modern cousin to the red scare of the first 5 or 6 decades of the last century.
The second aspect is that Americans want and expect a boogeyman threat from "outside" and since radical Islam has receded as that threat over the last ten years or so , a new "enemy" is needed. And that is the Chinese, for now.
The two major American parties have used a form of "upmanship" of fear/hatred of China and now find themselves too far "at sea" to return due to using the accusation "soft on China" as a political tool. IMO it's reached a point of no return leading to a form of Roy Cohn / Joe McCarthyism. Unfortunately that is a detriment for not only the people of both the USA and China, but of the rest of the world as well. Big mistake.
Reality as written by the CCP.
The CCP is the imaginary enemy? It isn't threatening to invade Taiwan and cause a world wide crisis in semi and super conductors?
The CCP didn't hide and obstruct information gathering on Covid; and fail to contain it? Possibly preventing a pandemic.
The CCP didn't just blatantly send a spy balloon directly over the US?
The CCP isn't threatening the US with war if they continue to aid Taiwan?
The US didn't just close an illegal police station run by Chinese spies threatening Chinese former nationals living within the US? (Article posted on Newstalkers)
There are dumbasses the world over. There are racists the world over. Singling out the US dumbasses and racists while ignoring their own if beyond galling for the CCP. When the CCP cleans up their own racists and dumbasses- which means a good portion of their party; they can comment on someone else.
.
All the US needs to do is charge the racists and dumbasses that physically assault and harass Asian Americans to the full extent of the law. They will learn to either obey the laws; or they will be in prison. That is how the problem is solved. Not the US kissing the CCP's ass.
The CCP did NOT write the following:
Taiwan is a Chinese domestic issue as agreed by the USA in the The Three Communications, and the USA continues to admit to the One China Policy. The USA has blocked providing semi and super conductors and their production equipment to China, while China has not broken trade rules that the USA has done.
Stupidity and incompetence is not specific to any country - silencing the doctor who discovered it is unforgivable, but China then did what it could to stop the spread.
The recent leak of American Intelligence exposed that the USA spies on China - tit for tat.
You can't prove that the CCP has threatened the USA with war.
Why so slow? Canada discovered three such "police stations" months ago but nobody has yet proven what they have been doing - it is only accusations so far.
The topic of the article is Asian hate in America. If you can establish American hatred in China write your own article.
That is the only thing you posted that is on topic. But nobody is expecting anyone to kiss anybody's ass, all that is required is some decency and common courtesy between nations.
