There is no frost where we live in south-west China, and we are in the city anyways, so we no longer see the colours that we did when we were living up north in Zhengzhou.  Although I have fall photos showing the colours taken back then I've shown them so many times it would just bore everyone.  I guess I got my fill of fall colours already during the most of my life that I lived in Ontario.

Can't be helped, because this is a beautiful country, and so are America and Canada in my memory.

Although I've been to many, I know that you've been to more.  In fact, let's start with your own home property.

Having seen photos of it, and the view that you have, I can understand why.  I hope the many wildfires in California are not a threat.

We've never had a wildfire so close as to threaten our property or require an evacuation.  Let's hope it stays like that.

I thought that that almost perfectly round lake was really unusual - looked to me like the eye of a lizard or something.

Evening..small world...

We have a Blue Lake here as well just over the border from me at Mt Gambier..

The colour of the lake actually changes colours from a vibrant blue colour to a dull grey depending on the time of year...not as round as yours though and it's an extinct volcano..

Maybe the one here is an extinct volcano as well.  It's really unusual that it's so very round.
