The majority reveres the Cadillac Eldorado as the best classic American car of its time, outgunning competitors like the Buick Riviera, Chrysler Imperial Coupe, and Oldsmobile Toronado.

8 Pontiac GTO - First Of An Era
The simple yet effective concept of shoehorning enormous power V8 engines in a light car opened the doors to the most iconic era in American automotive history. Dubbed 'The Great One,' the Pontiac GTO popularized muscle car performance to become an immediate legend right from its introduction as an optional package for the Pontiac LeMans in 1964.
The original Pontiac GTO was on the market for just a decade, but its performance legacy in Class II NASCAR competitions and the rubber-burning street races established Pontiac's sporting image for decades. With impressive power from a 325 hp 6.4-liter V8 and a fun-to-drive demeanor, it's easy to see why the revolutionary Pontiac GTO is the best old American muscle car.

Over five decades later, the Dodge Charger Daytona's unique 18-inch pointy nose and chin spoiler are still an opinion splitter. Design cues aside, every gearhead agrees the legendary Dodge Charger Daytona is one of NASCAR's most important muscle cars, having been the first to break the 200 mph barrier. The sleek straight lines, suicide doors, impressive interior amenities, and the relative lack of flash made the Lincoln Continental the ultimate go-to for the rich and famous. While some will remember the Continental as the car President J F Kennedy rode on the day he was assassinated, the majority hail it as the benchmark for high-quality build standards and class-leading safety features.

Two of my favourites on that list - that model corvette (the nose on the Sting Ray turns me off) and that model of Lincoln if it has the tire imprint on the trunk like so...
Great licence plate.
I like the Dodge Daytona. I still wish I had bought a Roadrunner Superbird (the Plymouth version of the Daytona) when I could have got one cheap. I like them all.
Here you go....
That blue is what my 68 Charger will get
When do you think it will be finished?
Hopefully in January
When I was a freshman in high school in 1964 my math teacher had a red Mustang convertible . Everyone thought he was really cool.
Yep, that's a pretty cool car. The favourite car of one of my best friends, and he called it "My mouse".
I’ll take any of them….All just stunning.
Why not all of them while you're at it?
