My Life in China - Photos From Many Years
Among these 24 photos are many I have not posted before, and others that you may have seen a while ago, but all have been improved with my editing program, and framed for better presentation. These photos have been taken over the past almost 13 years I've been living in China.
1. They did a "pirate ship" show on this boat in Millennium Park, in ancient Kaifeng.
2. In the same park, a traditional dance.
3. A view of the park - it is huge.
4. Pagodas are everywhere - this one was a short walk from my apartment in Zhengzhou.
5. Believe it or not, that is a children's hospital around the corner from my apartment in Zhengzhou.
6. In Millennium Park - guess what goes on in that building.
7. In ancient Kaifeng there are also very old parks that are not kept pristine.
8. But it still has a Buddhist temple, where my wife lit and planted joss sticks in front.
9. But INSIDE that temple, a whole other world.
10. Spring colours in Zijingshan Park in Zhengzhou.
11. Outside the park, souvenirs and eats.
12. Mah Jong al fresco - someone once asked me if men and women play together - so as you see.
13. So many pretty girls. Did I get married too soon?
14. A preferred vehicle here. Actually I saw a beautiful all-black Indian motorcycle yesterday.
15. I really couldn't figure out that place - nobody there.
16. I think this was a flower shop preparing for a wedding.
17. A clock tower on a hospital in Zhengzhou.
18. No hot dogs, but lots of street food.
19. Beside the medical school in Zhengzhou, the students leave their hot water containers while they're in class.
20. Peonies at the annual Luoyang Peony Festival, seen through the hanging lanterns.
21. Beauty among the peonies - my wife and on the left the wife of NT member USA1.
22. USA1 and his wife help to celebrate my wife's birthday - lighting the candles.
23. Artifacts in the Henan Provincial Museum in Zhengzhou.
24. These magnificent homes are around the corner from the school where I used to teach. When I first came here real estate was cheap, but the prices have inflated tremendously since. If I had come here with $20,000 I could have bought one of them. They now would sell for 20 times that amount.
