Interesting and pretty amazing. In a way, I'm not surprised. I expect man to come out ahead in nearly all competitions with the exception of Chess, because of his ingenuity, common sense to abort and take a different approach, and foresight from experience (not just referencing Chess).
What annoying music.
Tricky strategy is everything in some competitions . A computer can out compute a human in chess but in ping pong and war being tricky often saves the day . Thanks for stopping in ...
Geez ... some people are never satisfied . It's standard game show competition music . They usually play something like that while the competitors are cogitating .
I was surprised at how quick that robot was - very fast machine. But, will it make breakfast?

Stationary robots are quite fast . They sit in one place , rotate , extend and grasp . But if the entire body moves they can't draw power from the grid . Then ... not so fast .
One more thing : Such a robot is not normally used without a safety cage around it . Guess what happens to unsuspecting humans OTW .
Yes, I know. The standardness of it is what I find annoying. It is meant to build suspense and have one rooting for the man, but I found it to be too much. Just my opinion. I would rather have had a commentator talking, describing the robot and its manufacturer, the human opponent and his bona fides. Maybe a little of the music, but not all the time, all the way through.
Are you implying this competition was faked ?!
More to the point , how about those Sarah Conner movies ? How can humans defeat the Terminator ?
Oh well. Write the manufacturer & tell them what you didn't like about their commercial...
