The Pianist - A Poem
I know I have been a scarce presence on NT, friends. Life has a way of making us shift gears and change course, take a new road perhaps, explore different paths, or sometimes simply hang back and want to change nothing at all.
Family commitments have kept me very busy, too, and the little time I get to myself, I spend writing. Some of you know I love to write and have been doing so for a few years. I joined a few writing and poetry groups on LinkedIn and have been quite active in those. It gives me impetus to create when I am among writers and poets who give honest reviews, feedback, critique and opportunities for collaboration and publishing. Writing is my way of meditating, reflecting and expressing myself. I need it for my own sanity! If a bit of recognition and readership comes through it, it is gratifying. I am human, after all.
I have a few poems that will shortly be published in the upcoming issues of The Australia Times Poetry Magazine. I got a wonderful surprise this morning from the editor, Maureen Clifford, with this facebook page of the magazine, which I now share with you.
Please don't think I have forgotten you all. In fact, I am indebted to this community for giving me my sanctuary, friendship and a lot more that has made this little success possible. Thank you.

Dear Friend Neetu: "Belles Letters".
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome Back.
Enoch.
Neetu
What a beautiful poem, thanks for sharing it with us.
Take good care and good luck in your writing endeavors.
Awww, that is sweet, Enoch! Thank you. It is wonderful to see you again, my friend.
My pleasure, Robert. Thank you for reading it! Glad you liked it.
That was a beautiful poem Neetu. Often we don't realize music, poems, writing stories and many other things in a persons life transforms them from the life they live everyday into something beautiful and in some cases if we were to never see the author or performer and just hear or see what they have produced, we'd never, in our wildest dreams, believe it came from them. And it provides something money can't buy and sometimes relieves pain suffered for only a short time and maybe forever. Thanks for the poem.
Wonderful work Neetu!
Since I cannot open Facebook, I wish you would just copy and paste the poem on a comment.
What a gift of music this homeless man has! Thank you for sharing this, Six. And thank you for the lovely comment. Music, poetry, stories, in fact all forms of art have a purpose, even when they seem like digressions. I know I would not be sane without it.
Thank you, my dear Raven. As a wonderful writer yourself, I am honored by your support and beautiful comment.
There, Buzz, Six has done that already, I see! Hope you can come by to read it, my friend.
Thank you, Six!
Thank you, dear Nona.
I just finished reading your poem and it is lovely. Congrats on your soon to be published poems. You have been missed here, and I am so happy to see you back here sharing your gifts and your friendship.

Thanks for posting that Sixpick.
A lovely poem, very deep - you're very talented.
I learned to play on a piano in our home that was like the one in the picture - an upright grand, but I only got as far as grade 4.
Thank you, Buzz. This poem was inspired by my daughter playing the piano. She is young (16) but gets so absorbed in it that when I watch her, all I see and hear is her form and notes simply filling everything around me. I was sitting on the sofa behind her one day with my little notebook in hand and the poem just wrote itself.
Thank you, my dear Perrie. I am always floating in and out, even when I don't leave comments. You know how life gets. I know I have friends here who know my ways of appearing and disappearing. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. (((((((((((((((((((Perrie)))))))))))))))))))))))))
Looking forward to reading them!
It seems congratulations are in order!
Thank you, Mac. A small blip in the poetry universe, lol, but it is what I love to do and just keep doing it.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with us Neetu!
Thank you for the friendship and encouragement you always give me, Uppy! ((((((((((((((Uppy)))))))))))))
Right back atcha, Sis!
You are too sweet, Sis, and just so lovable.
