And while I'm in a reflective mood, I should tell you (and some others) that, in the heat of some lively discussions, I know I said (wrote) things that weren't kind and weren't necessary.
Agent Orange got most of the people I miss as friends. My father passed away from ischemic heart disesase December 13th a number of years ago and my mother passed away six years before him from breast cancer. The thing that is so unusual about that is I use to stay with my father's four grand parents who lived into their 90's. His parents lived into their 90's as well. On my mother's side her mother lived to 88 and her father lived until nearly 80. My father passed away at 60 and my mother passed away at 52. I miss a very good friend of mine who could play great finger picking guitar and was as innocent as a newborn child. We would go and visit all these older folks who loved to play music out in the country. I really miss him.
So much time to make up
Nice photos ... not winter . Is this someone we all know ?
No Petey,
The people I miss are from a few years back.

My apologies for those.
No problemo ... We all do that .

Dear Friend Mac: My email is always open toyou for such support as I can provide.
Enoch.
Beautiful photos A. Mac and Merry Christmas to you and may an old friend bring cheer to your heart this Holiday Season. God Bless.
That must be Willoughby. I go there often in my dreams.
Egilman,
I guess it's about "The Journey"; the Destination will come soon enough.
This is sung by the son of former Phillies pitcher Tug McGraw (about how his father faced last days).
Thank you Arch-Man, and the same wish.
I am with you A Mac. Creator put us all here to help others and I know you have helped many just during the time I've known you. Thank you.
A very kind comment 1stwarrior. Thank you.
The photos you post are a gift to me Mac. I thank you for that.
May the Creator smile on you my friend.
Indeed He has in many ways; allowing me to appreciate the idea that "Nature is the Art of God," is one of the many smiles.
On the day(s) we fish together and you catch the biggest fish (on my home water) will also be a "smile".
I'm the one with the hair.
It's a really old picture.
Taken before I became enlightened and went to "catch-and-release" and, when I was tough enough to go ice fishing.
Peace to you as well
I am happy our paths crossed albeit in the Autumns of our lives.
I think we gravitate to people who have things to teach us -- whether we believe in advance whether we'll like the lessons or not.
No more than I've learned from you.
Again, damn that 3000 mile gap between us.
I am sorry you felt pensive, Mac. Those photos are amazing and reflect your mood very well.
Do you know the brief maxim
"Make new friends but keep the old
For one is silver and the other is gold."
Indeed I do! In my life, a sort of nomadic one, that has been the story of my friendships.
