They'll Soon Be Gone Until Next Spring

I am referring to

Butterflies

butterfly |btrfl|noun ( pl. -flies) an insect with two pairs of large wings that are covered with tiny scales, usually brightly colored, and typically held erect when at rest. Butterflies fly by day, have clubbed or dilated antennae, and usually feed on nectar. (order Lepidoptera)

Saw the title and thought....you must talking about locust!! Our trees are singing with them and they're starting to fall to the ground. Good riddance:)

Much to my surprise, you're talking these beauties! Fabulous photography, they depict the splendor that surrounds us, providing one is looking.

A Mac.... I think every butterfly I've seen this summer reminds me of the pictures you have put on here which have been absolutely beautiful. I love all these pictures here as well as the ones other people have put up.

I thought this was quite interesting. I thought the pictures I took years ago with the first digital camera I owned only had 3 mega pixel. Now I have 10 mega pixel on my phone and the pictures are pretty good, but 41 mega pixel on a phone. Anyway not knowing much about photography here is the article.

Do you need 41 megapixels? Our Nokia Lumia 1020 camera review

Quite a flattering compliment Sixpick; I thank you.

When digital cameras first appeared, I was one of those skeptics who thought digital would never approach film quality, i.e. Kodachrome 25, 64, Fuji Velvia, etc. . But once we got the 8MP sensors and higher, both image quality (depending on the camera and lens) and the other pluses of digital put film in the back seat.

Gorgeous!

You wouldn't have any of the Lunar Moth would you?

I seen one only a few times in my life and would probably drop the camera out of nervousness if I got the chance to photograph one :-)
