Mammograms, do you trust the government recommendations?

I have to say that I know many woman who got breast cancer in their 40's and a few even in their 30's. I would much rather have a false positive then find out too late that I have breast cancer. What do you think, and do you think that the government is making these recommendations to cut down on expenses at the risk of every woman's life?
