6 Movie Plots That Could Have Been Solved in Minutes

This is why, in movie-land, characters are so often forced to drag problems out for an hour when, in reality, the situation could have been solved during the opening credits.

I have to agree with most of the theories here. I never could figure out why they didn't let the Nazis take the Ark of the Covenant home to do its destruction there, or why in Star Wars they didn't just go after the huge antenna that was exposed.

Shortened version of The Lord of the Rings.

Eagles fly Frodo and ring to Mount Doom, then split. Saves time and gives the ring much less time to work on Frodo who drops the ring in Dooms flowing lava pit. Mordor blows up, lives are saved.
