This particular motorcycle has the advantage of a removable battery pack . That permits no waiting time for recharging :

Great idea-- removes one of the obstacles toward the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.
Yuppers . That is also the concept that Tesla Motors is pushing for its 2nd & 3rd gen models .
Indeed ! One thing that is apparent about e-vehicles is their acceleration from stop . They can generally out accelerate any IC engine vehicle and do it in a fuel efficient manner as well .
Does anyone here know the way to San Jose ?
Put 100 down and buy an electric motorcycle ?
BTW globally electric bikes and motorcycles are a business showing huge growth ...
Sounds like an excellent idea.
LMAO ! I think its safe to say that cops like that won't be in the CHIPS division ... Anyway it is not top speed as much as range which could be the problem , unless they are going uphill .
Wouldn't you like to drive one of those ?
Maybe...
I do like the idea of no 'fumes.' Not having to wait for the battery to re-charge is nice, too.
Don't forget the enormous savings on fuel costs ...
Very true.
Nice ride!
Love to have one!
:~)
They did a nice job with style selection also; perfect size and stance for urban maneuverability.
You & me both ... What most people don't know about e-vehicles is they are very fast off the line . The low end torque is enormous unlike IC engines .
Strong laxative ?
After looking this over and seeing the lack of response from the NT left I am starting to acquire a new understanding . Also I am starting to acquire a new appreciation for Barb - btco . Thanks for putting in a showing Barb .
I'd love to take a spin on one of these. It would be strange to have no sound from an engine.
I would like to have one of these on charge up in my garage . I'm expecting a lot of fun ... maybe not the thrilling ride of a big Harley [or the noise] but still fun .
I'll keep my Harley, thanks.
Do you think your Harley will beat a large e-bike in a race ?
LOL Petey, I'm too old to be racing. It's how I've survived almost 40 years of riding a motorcycle without a scratch. Also, an electronic bike would be virtually silent. Too easy for idiot auto drivers to say, "I didn't know he was there". Loud pipes save lives!
You're right there . If these bikes become popular someone is gonna design a noise maker for them ... I would expect .
A playing card in the spokes held on with a clothespin? That would work.
Is that patentable ...
Nah. We did that to our bikes when we were kids.
I remember that well. Do kids still do that?
Oddly enough I didn't do that when I was a kid but there were many in da hood that did . And I haven't seen that done for quite a long while . Any guesses as to why ?
Those do look cool. The cops in my town use Segways in the heavily foot-trafficked tourist areas.
Never mind the cops . Which would you rather drive : a Segway or an e-bike ?
The bike of course. LOL. It's just fun to watch, especially when it it Scottish Festival time.
