Please add anything you wish, Mac!!!! I know it will be a perfect. Your joking was perfectly clear, too. Remember you are talking to someone "lost" who knows what that is like!
Ask yourself what kind of world you want to live in, how people should treat each other, how people should think about the Earth they walk on, how you see yourself in a perfect world.
Remove yourself from the noise, get out in the woods. Be silent and look, listen, feel. Take time to breathe. Feel how it feels to just breathe.
Of course, Dowser dear. Sometimes we get lost, other times we wander off. It is often the hidden paths we find we never knew existed that take us someplace new. And if didn't wander off, how would we even know what we may find?
We were talking about the space between us all And the people who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion Never glimpse the truth Then it's far too late When they pass away
We were talking about the love we all could share when we find it To try our best to hold it there With our love With our love we could save the world If they only knew
Try to realise it's all within yourself No one else can make you change And to see you're really only very small And life flows on within you and without you
We were talking about the love that's gone so cold And the people who gain the world and lose their soul They don't know They can't see Are you one of them?
When you've seen beyond yourself Then you may find peace of mind is waiting there And the time will come when you see We're all one and life flows on within you and without you Lyrics from eLyrics.net
The quest to find out what it is that we want to know, that we had ought to know but seemingly forgot, for the right questions to the answers so readily supplied....
In one of the rock group Rush's early Albums, Caress of Steel, the band devotes an entire side of the LP to a journey, a quest of sorts, for a mythical fountain. It opens with these words, written by the bands lyricist Neil Peart:
I am born.I am me.I am new.I am free.Look at me,I am young,Sight unseen,Life unsung.
And it ends with:
I'm in motion.I am still.I am crying.I am...still.I'm together.I'm apart.I'm forever, at the start
Still... I am.
In between these two lines come the awakening, the striving for, the euphoria and the disappointments that we all go through (generically, at least) in the path that we follow called life, till the main actor in this musical play comes to the realization "Life is just a candle, and the dream must give it flame."
My very most favorite place to be, Blue Wolf! And I MUST get to the woods every day or my spirit is heavy. Deep in the woods you find the most amazing fragrances that can only be found there. And listen. Ears-listen and Heart-Listen. And just be. Ahhhhhh........
Royal Lancer, Shakespeare always had the best quotes about the nature of man, but darn it, Hamlet is a tragedy! Although, you are right, we need to open the doors and windows of our minds to let the breeze waft in sometimes. Lol, I like the "changes in latitude, changes in attitude" too!
Wow, Perrie, I had never seen or heard this one! The lyrics are beautiful. The "truth" is often obscure, if to be found at all, sometimes though. Yes, life flows on within and without us. Knowing the difference between the trivial and the significant, what matters in the larger scheme, can help us keep ourselves in balance. But we don't often do that, sadly.
Hmmmmm............it doesn't really matter if it is an illusion or not. We still have to suffer, be content or be fulled with joy with our choices within the illusion. Believing this all is an illusion is not a very good excuse for sitting and staring at the wall and letting the illusion pass us by. We all could do a better job making that "illusion" a better one for everyone around us.
Sometimes we all lose our way, but it helps to search where one seldom looks - within ourselves.
I am lost too. I am still looking for me. Many of you here appear to be lost as well, perhaps in a different way. Running away doesn't help.
Neetu,
I can't locate this article so I won't be able to comment.
deep message Neetu. Many if not all need to seek within before they exert it to the world.
LOL, Mac! If I am getting your message correctly, that is!
I am glad you could read the message, Shub. It can mean different things to different people. Thank you.
I was kidding, Neetu -- going with the theme of your discussion.
Of course I found your article and left my comment.
Sorry if my joking wasn't clear.
I was going to add other theme-related silly stuff -- let me know if it's ok.
Yup, you got it! I was so lost I didn't even know I wasn't here.
To find myself, I'm going to a "Past Life Regression" conference. It will be held last week.
Talk about "lost." My brother is an only child.
And my parents moved away before I was born so I never met them.
Please add anything you wish, Mac!!!! I know it will be a perfect. Your joking was perfectly clear, too. Remember you are talking to someone "lost" who knows what that is like!
Glad you do, Lilac - A work in progress? You mean, you have made progress?
No. I will not ask for directions! I'm going to drive around till something looks familiar...
Ask yourself what kind of world you want to live in, how people should treat each other, how people should think about the Earth they walk on, how you see yourself in a perfect world.

There you are, right there.
Blue Wolf, you must be wise...
Directions take you nowhere, One Miscreant...that's why I never follow them either!
Indeed. Good post.
Thank you, One Miscreant.
And, Royal Lancer, it is that space we can get lost in too, don't you think?
I think a lot of us are looking for ourselves. I think I know, and then, I lose it again, and find it again. Life is a journey, for sure!
Of course, Dowser dear. Sometimes we get lost, other times we wander off. It is often the hidden paths we find we never knew existed that take us someplace new. And if didn't wander off, how would we even know what we may find?
ROTFL, Mac! Maybe you just found yourself!
We were talking about the space between us all
And the people who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth
Then it's far too late
When they pass away
We were talking about the love we all could share when we find it

We're all one and life flows on within you and without you

And Now, for your listening pleasure:
My very most favorite place to be, Blue Wolf! And I MUST get to the woods every day or my spirit is heavy. Deep in the woods you find the most amazing fragrances that can only be found there. And listen. Ears-listen and Heart-Listen. And just be. Ahhhhhh........
nice!
Awesome! Been awhile since I've heard that one.
Ahhhhhhhhhh, you are not lost, Stephi! It's when it is quiet that we hear the beating of our own hearts.

Beautiful, Brolly! Thank you for sharing this one - really profound in meaning! The journey of life!
This is Me, now those other two idiots, myself and I are nowhere to be found!

Oh oh, ADS...at least you have one of you with you...
Now there is a great idea, Grump! I shall endeavor to make my illusion as grand as I care to! Thank you!
Exactly. The grander the better.
