What is truly unfortunate is that articles like this gather little attention. I have experienced the same thing myself with videos I thought were inspiring or informative. Where is the hate, arguments, name calling and all that "let's duke it out" in your headline? Oh, no !!! It's not there.
Proper headline for some attention: Shameless gay abortionist penguins expose penguin chicks to horrible conditions in front of cameramen.
Beauty seldom catches anyone's attention. Do we look closely at public art, do we take in the inspiration of that Zen garden we pass on the way to work? Do we sit in our office and eat our sandwich or do we sit under a tree in the park and give our crumbs to a hungry dove?
Look at the front page. There is your answer and it is really unfortunate.
Yeah, I have seen that documentary. I was fascinated. I just got out the tape measure and looked at hot tall these beings really are. They are huge.
Thanks, Mike. I was not aiming my comment at you. Not in any way - the front page speaks for itself and I wonder how much happiness many of the discussions are bringing into people's lives. Not very much, I would guess.
I was just talking with my grandson today about the difference between things "way over there" and "things right here". I, for the most part, don't care or concern myself with things "way over there". "Things right here", things that directly impact my family's life or mine are the important things. Bringing little pieces of beauty into our lives, like these films, brings me a fuck of a lot more happiness than arguing (and not changing anyone's mind anyway) about something far far away. My happiness is right nearby. The arguers will even argue that I am an uninvolved fool. OK, if they need to believe that.
I simply chose to look at life in a different way than they do.
Ambi, sorry I goofed up your really cool article. Duh on grump.
I don't know why I don't get e-mail alerts for some of these postings, but I'm glad I checked in here; I could have missed this and never have known what I missed.
So this makes me just wanna title something really dramatic and heated and then when they get there, it is actually something wonderful like what our Ambi just gave us!
They don't seem to be afraid of the humans walking round. Maybe they figure humans are just really big penguins - maybe featherless bipeds. Of course, penguins have never been hunted on the snow and ice by humans so they have no fear. We have penguins at the local zoo. They are very smelly. Cute but smelly.
It was either Plato or Aristotle who was trying to classify animals into families. He put birds and humans in the same family of animals - and he believed that humans were featherless bipeds. He probably had never seen a monkey or ape and if he had he might have had a different theory.
Now that was worth watching ambiv, simply beautiful.
I enjoyed that. Thanks, Ambi.

The utter beauty of simple love! Thank you, Ambi. Have a wonderful day, too!
Cold feet, warm heart. It must be true of penguins, too.
What a lovely article and video!!! Thank you, dear ambi!
Aren't they darling? I've watched this several times, and enjoyed it every time!

This is such a sweet video. I had to come back to look at it again.
Just beautiful!! Thank you.
I let it run all the way through and then watched A Moment in Heaven. Looking for serenity? That's the place to find it.
Funny Cats doing funny things in water:
Just the tonic for the day Ambi. Thank you so much!
Well, yes. I think I will have a good day, now that you mention it. If I don't, it's my own fault.

.....at about 50 seconds, look how when the family is cuddling, the mommy and daddy's heads form a heart shape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
