Photo taken from my front deck of Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks of SW Missouri. The sky turned the lake red.

Photo taken last winter.
Needs musical accompaniment . Is this too intense for the scenery ?
It's intense Petey, but I love it. Deep Purple, Smoke on the Water...
How about ''Fire Lake'' by Bob Seger.
Beautiful view from your deck. You are living in paradise. Well, except for the mosquitoes and other bugs.
Thanks Grump, one of the reasons we moved here is that there are NO mosquitoes..
We can sit out on the front deck and have no worries about mosquitoes.
I love this photo each time I see it!
Thanks Mac,
When you visit, you can sit on the deck in the evening with a beer or whatever, and enjoy this view, and the changing sunset's every evening. Plus we can tell lies about how big the fish were that we caught.
Kavika,
Let's plan a phone conversation sometime before the end of the summer and figure out how we can "hook up," literally and figuratively.
Sounds great Mac. I'll be leaving for northern Minnesota on the 22nd of July, and returning sometime the first week of August.
I'll be meeting Larry Hampton while I'm there.
looking at a simiar view from my deck no good camera though to snap it
one of the great riffs of all time thx
Hey tc, this photo was taken with a cell phone camera.
What lake are you overlooking?
What a gorgeous glow the light casts over the still water! Beautiful! Thank you, Kavika.
Vultures, then. You have vultures that come after you if you sit to still on the front deck, right?
Yup, we do have vultures, but they never go after Indians...LOL
Happy that you enjoyed it Neetu. It's one of my favorite photos. The lake was just beautiful with the red cast to it.
It's a beautiful lake Kavika. I should be taking more pictures. This lake is located down home as they call it. I've camped out around this lake dozens of times and when I was growing up I knew every tree and bush that surrounded this lake. It's called Jessup's Pond. Today I believe I could get a better picture of it. This one was taken when they first came out with the low pixel cameras.
Well, shucks. I'd have to keep moving.
That's a great photo six. I love the way the trees are reflected in the lake/pond..
Thanks for posting it six.
No way Grump, your part of the tribe.
Hell flame, that video was filmed in my old stomping grounds, Lake Mead..
My first bike was was a 49 Indian Chief..Fitting...LOL
I see it as well Gunny. He'll be here in Oct.
Breathtaking! You are a man of many talents! Big vote up!
Thanks Perrie. Mac has given me pointers and soon I'll get an actual camera instead of using an iphone..LOL
Thanks Barb...This one is my favorite.
Thanks Raven Wing. It's Wiki taking a swim..LOL..No it's a boat cruising along.
Beautiful scenery! It almost looks like a painting.
Hi tzia, so good to see you. It really is something isn't it. I just love the way the lake turns red.
I posted another one entitled ''Fire in the Sky'', a couple of really interesting sunsets.
I'll try to find "fire in the Sky."
It's on the right hand side of this page, under Newstalkers Columnists.
