I have to hold onto a tree when I'm in the North Carolina mountains hiking to look over the side of the mountains and they are nothing like this for the most part and there are no trees. What am to hold onto, a rock? LOL
Six, if you are anything like my 20-year old daughter, you would stand on the edge of a rock to do so. I think my heart stopped beating for a while as she did that over the canyon, her feet on the very edge, her arms stretched out. I died a thousand deaths in those few moments.
More images from my files...hope you enjoy them!
It's an extraordinary place.

Indeed it is, Grump! I find the stories nature writes incredibly fascinating and this is many stories all in one place.

No, Lilac, it did not by its name lightly. It is a mind-boggling sight with mysteries of our planet etched into every rock and crevice.
It is my pleasure to share them with you!
