5 Heartwarming Stories to Restore Your Faith in Celebrities

6827_discussions.jpg Most of the reason we follow celebrity news is because we like watching these people screw up in horrific ways. And let's face it, at this point there is no story of drug abuse, racism, sexual assault, or outright murder that would surprise us. It could turn out that Ryan Gosling secretly organized the 9/11 attacks and we'd just shrug and say, "Celebrities, man. That shit goes to your head."

So maybe we should stop every now and then and point out when they do nice or even heroic things. Because it does happen.

Read the article - see what the 5 celebrities have done:
Are there any stories you know about nice or unselfish or even heroic things that celebrities have done? I believe that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would fit that mould.

I can recall that at the 2004 Academy Award show 13-year old New Zealand actress Keisha Castle-Hughes , who had been nominated for Best Actress in Whale Rider, was being interviewed by the Oscars host Billy Crystal, and he asked her if there was anyone there she would like to meet. She said it was her dream to meet Johnny Depp, so Crystal went and got Depp to come over and meet with her. Depp was so nice and gracious to that little girl, I can still remember watching the two of them together.

Here is a photo (greatly enlarged so not too clear) of Castle-Hughes and Depp meeting at the 2004 Academy Awards.
