My young, aspiring photographer took these images and allowed me to share them with you.

Lol, Mike, you think mine are angry-looking? I thought the silver linings looked "happy" in their own wayFrown.gif

Nothing like pure, golden sunshine, though, I would agree, to make us all happy. Love your pics, thanks!

Good drama and nice framing using tree silhouettes; there's actually an art term for it "repoussoir" elements (French, meaning "to push out")

"repoussoir" sounds so much more enigmatic than "to push out"! Thank you, Mac! Let's see how long that stays in my memory!

Nice shots Neetu, yours and Mikes as both.

My stuff isnt all that, but I do enjoy looking up at a good sunrise or sunset and sometimes I even try to save some of what I see.

Sunrise from the front porch.

Sunset from the back deck.

6855_discussions.jpg?width=721 Same sunset, different angle.

I never fell that the shots I take do justice to all the things mother nature shows me, living out here in the woods the way I do.Smile.gif

Thank you for enjoying mine, too!

Sure Neetu, why not. :-)

In keeping with your Eyes on the Sky theme, how about these.

This was taken as my attempt to see the Venus Transit back in June 2012. My thought was that perhaps I could blow the picture up enough to see Venus crossing the Sun. Didnt work but it still represents a lot of the sunsets I watch off the back deck come summer time.

This view just appealed to me one morning. Here Im about 5 miles from my cabin. Two more miles of paved road, then right onto 3 miles of dirt road heading up into the hills. In my records this shot is titled The Hood

Finally, this one came from my daughter. This is a view from her collage campus in Hawaii. I think its sunrise over the KoOlau rang, but it might be sunset.

Come on folks, show us what you got. Grin.gif

Thanks again Neetu.

Maybe your title should read something like;

"Hey Look UP!, Are You Seeing What I'm Seeing?!" (if not, how about sharing what you do see).

As a way of getting more people to share some of their favorite skyscapes.Smile.gif

Hey, do you mean "Drama in the Sky" isn't dramatic enough? Hermit, you do have a point, though. Hmmmmmmm, I will think about it for my next one! Too late now for this.

Lol.

Yes I was thinking of ways to get more eyeballs on your article. Trying a new title was me just spit balling ideas.

Having never posted an article myself, I had no idea if the original title was locked in after posting or not.

Now that you're back on top of the front page, maybe more folk will stop by. Smile.gif
