With Heartfelt Apology to Perrie and All My Friends
Not sure how to explain what happened, but I left NT for a short while, quite without an explanation to those who deserved one. One fine day, I just left - not realizing the consequences of my decision and how it would hurt those who have given me nothing but kindness, compassion, understanding and love. It doesn't make sense to say that I didn't mean to. It does make sense to say that I am sorry.
My decision had nothing to do with anyone or anything related to NewsTalkers. I have nothing but the highest regard for Perrie and all the folks here. My friends, all of you mean a great deal to me. When I dropped out, I lost all of you! I lost my group memberships, my articles, my poems - in fact, I lost a part of my identity.
Please know that, whatever my reasons for such an impetuous act, I value NT and the warmth and friendship this site has offered me and others like me. I am back with the hope that you will accept my sincere apology for my "time-out" and also accept my hand of friendship once again.
Perrie, thank you for creating this wonderful site. It has become a home to me.

What we have here is a community, and it is mostly a friendly one - the kind of place where you can sit out on the porch, put up your feet and wave to the people going by. It is more a home than a cold commercial enterprise like so many other sites. You know that you are most welcome here, so have a seat on the porch and relax.

If I ever needed additional confirmation for why I moved to NT, this article would do it. You all are the nicest, most caring individuals I've "met" on the 'net.
