What a beautiful color! The mourning doves we have down here are gray on gray.

Depending on where you are, the gray doves may be Ground Doves; but depending on the light, Mourning Doves do often appear gray.
The call, I'm sure you know, is what gives the Mourning Dove its name.
I'm in Florida and perhaps I am calling our doves the wrong thing. I'll research ground doves. Thanks.
