Very nice shot! The eye is beautiful.

Love these birds too. So very busy.

Do you get bushtits too? Strange name but such cute tiny balls of fluff.

Bushtits are found in the Northwest and Southwest mostly I'm over on the east Philadelphia, so, no, I've never seen one.

Great picture A. Mac and you caught the bird in a perfect pose. If I'm not mistaken, nuthatches are the only North American bird that climbs both up and down tree trunks....little acrobats they are!

:~)

They do indeed go up and down head first.

We do get a lot of them around here and they are so fun to watch. You know I really got into birding a few years ago and your pictures are making me itch to get into it more again.

:~)

I'm with Larry-- this makes me want to get a lot more serious about birding!

Beautiful picture, A. Mac, with a darling little bird! What a cutie! Smile.gif

Well, I will enjoy seeing the Eastern birds then.

Here is a Wikipedia link to the bushtits. You can see how tiny they are on the suet cage. The constantly chatter to each other, for location I think. "I'm here! Where are you?"

Jeeze you're lucky to have so many different kinds of birds near you!

And the birds are lucky to have someone make them look so good!

These are such fun birds to watch...esp when they walk down a tree trunk head first
