My Experience With A UFO

One night several years ago I was in a car with my Mom, Dad, brother, and son coming back from Santa's Magical Kingdom. It's a place about 45 minutes from where we live that has a bunch of lights that you drive through, and look at. We were almost home when my Dad asked when the new cell phone tower had been built. I told him there was no new cell phone tower. He asked what the lights up ahead were. I looked and I saw the lights too, but I could tell they were not from a cell phone tower. It was dark so it was kind of hard to see until we were right up close to it. I took a good look out my window. What I saw amazed me. I was not scared though like I would have thought I would have been. We were on the highway. Right next to it is the service road, and right next to the service road is an open field. I saw a triangular shaped object hovering about 30 feet above the field. It had lights on each of the three corners. One red, one blue, and one green. It was not moving at all. The color of the object itself was black. It blended in with the night sky pretty well, but I could still see the triangular shape. The only other thing I noticed about the object was that from the underneath it looked almost invisible. It's kind of hard to describe.

My Dad was driving, but we had all seen the object. I tried to get my Dad to get on the service road right next to the object. I wanted to take an even closer look. My brother was scared, and so my parents decided to just go home. I dropped my parents and my brother off at their house, and my son and I went to go inspect the object. Unfortunately by the time we got back it was gone. I was so disappointed.

That's my story. I realize that not everyone believes in UFOs or aliens, and that is ok. However rudeness towards me, or others that do believe will not be tolerated. If anyone else has any stories I'd like to hear them.

I sat and watched lights out my window and wondered WTH is that? Hubby tells me it's probably something from one of our local military bases or something...

I've also met people that I would swear are aliens...I mean really how weird can some people be and still be human!

Pretty cool experience for you Feddy! I bet every time you go by that area you think of that night.

btw...really glad to have you back!

I tend to think what we see is explainable in very earthly terms. But, that had to be a very interesting experience. Too bad you didn't get a better look at it. I would have done everything I could do to get near it, but that's just me.

Hey, Feddy!

I don't know what this was. Almost 40 years ago, I was driving on the outskirts of my college town, (Murray, KY), and saw a series of lights. 5 lights. Blinking just a little slower than once per second. First they were in a row, blinking red:

- - - - -

Next second, they were alternate, blinking red and yellow:

- * - * -

Then, they spread out, next blink... Then, they started blinking one by one, in different parts of the sky. No rhyme or reason to either the arrangement or the color of the lights. Colors ranging from red, yellow, orange, green, blue, white. Then they lined up again and there were 7 of them. Then, blink, scattered, blink, the line changed to a slash running sw/ne, blink, red scattered, blink, green only one.

Well, not having any idea what it was, I pulled over to side of the road and watched. For about 15 minutes, the lights would blink, about once a second, but a tad longer... say 50 beats per minute. Sometimes together, sometimes just one, sometimes all lined up, sometimes not... Really odd.

Murray is about anhour from Ft. Campbell, so maybe they were military helicopters-- but there was no noise, the colors were random, and it was really kind of weird.

I don't know what they were. Still don't, but a lot of us saw the lights and I've always wondered about them. Smile.gif

Thank you Uppy. *hugs* It was quite an experience. You're right. Every time I go by that spot I look. I've never seen it again though.

Well your hubby is like a lot of other people. What I saw was not military, and if it was then the government is hiding some stuff. That actually wouldn't surprise me either. lol

I've never met anyone that I thought was an alien. I have met some pretty weird people though. lol

Well Grump I tried. But I wasn't going to jump out of the car to do it. I couldn't have even if I wanted to. It was a two door, and I was in the back seat. lol My family would not stop because they were scared. I went back as soon as I could, but it was too late. I'm not sure I could have learned any more by getting closer anyways. After all it was dark, and I got a pretty good look at it from where I was. I sure as hell wouldn't have gotten underneath of it so I could get abducted. lol This was not of Earth that I know of. I've never seen anything like it. Could it have been a top secret military test or something? I don't know. I guess it could have been. I still would have called it a UFO anyways. I did not see any aliens. I'm sure that would have freaked me out. lol

Thank you for telling your story Dowser. It sounds pretty weird to me too. Your aliens must have been more complicated than mine to do that light show. lol

Personally I believe in aliens. I think it's pretty egotistical to think that we are the only life anywhere. I have no proof of this though. Except what I saw that night. Because I know what I saw, and I know what my gut tells me. I understand that my experience is not enough proof for a disbeliever. I don't expect it to be.

I understand what you mean-- I don't know what they were-- I saw no "ship", no equipment, just lights. It was really weird and I've always wondered...

Personally, I don't know. I'd like to think that there are aliens that would come to study us, but not harm us. I don't feel a sense of danger from them-- but that is not within my experience.

To me, all things are possible. Smile.gif

Wow, what a TRIP, Fed!! In every sense of the word. I DO believe in UFO's, however I have never seen one so I don't have an interesting story to contribute. Only to say that I am happy that you had this experience, and I sure hope to see one someday myself. Ido know one thing, and that is that "we are not alone". Thanks for a great read!!

Hi Jewel. That does sound like an interesting find. I bet you two could hardly contain your excitement!

For some reason that reminds me of a time when I was a kid. I don't remember how old I was, but I'm going to guess 7 or 8. At the time my Mom was in a singing group, and us kids of the singers had to go out and play. All of a sudden we saw a thing on fire come out of the sky, and land just a little ways away from us. It didn't appear to be very big. Maybe the size of a baseball. It moved fast. Well some of the kids went to investigate. Not me. I was afraid. lol But I told my Dad about it, and he said it was a meteor. So he called the people whose home we were at, and they went and looked but said all they saw was a hole. I don't think my Dad believed them. I don't either. There had to be some of that meteor left. Because it was still the size of a baseball when it hit the ground. I wish I hadn't been so chicken, and had went and looked. lol

Well John it's not always Joe Blow in the country that sees them. There have been plenty of sightings in cities. I do agree that a big percentage is probably an airplane. I can assure you that what I saw was no airplane. At least not an airplane from Earth. lol

Well Terry I thought about putting this in your group. I wasn't really sure what to do. I meant no offense to your group. After all it inspired me to tell my story. Grin.gif In the future I will make sure to post to the group. That's if I'm ever lucky enough to witness another UFO.

Everything you said makes sense. One thing that I forgot to mention in the article is that it really wasn't very big. A little larger than a good sized car. That kind of surprised me. But I guess maybe aliens are as big and clunky as we are, and they don't need a huge ship. lol

Wow! That's scary. Were the cuts deep, or just scratches? Was there any blood? Thankfully I've never had anything like that happen. When I was a kid I was scared that I'd get abducted. I still don't think it would be pleasant, but I don't lay in bed awake afraid it will happen. I probably would though if I were in your shoes.

Another thought that crosses my mind is demonic possession. Do you feel that could be possible at all? I have no idea what's going on, but waking up with cuts is not normal. I think you have something going on.

When I lived out on the farm years ago, I saw lightssimilarto what Dowser explained more than once. One time, I was watching 5 different lights. There was a group of us just watching them and amazed at how theymoved up, down, left, right, etc. It was like they were playing with their advanced control. All at once, they all took off faster than humanly possible even today. It was a joint decision to leave and leave they did. Amazing sight and all we could do was gasp. As we were walking back into the farm house, someone said, I wonder what that was. We all laughed. Unknown but I am glad we are not the only ones asking questions like that. Space would be a very lonely place if we were the only species and planet with life.

The last few years, I have been shocked at the conditions where they have been finding life on this planet. Thetemperatureextremes they are finding life in our oceans and in deep caves, is just amazing. Cool knowledge.71.gif 105.gif

Thanks for sharing your story Gen. That does sound a lot like what Dowser experienced. No you're not the only one asking questions like this. I think more and more people all the time are starting to think that there's at least a possibility that we are not alone.

I've seen the Marfa Lights among other things, and cant discount the unexplainable as being something that truly does defy our Earthly expectations. You may very well have seen a UFO. In fact, based on the term itself, you definitely did. It was after all an Unidentified Flying Object.

That makes sense Terry. I never thought of that. I did think of a question I wanted to ask you though. You said, and I believe you are right, that aliens used to actually be on Earth. Well why did they leave? Besides keeping an eye on us, and doing tests on us. I'm just curious. Why aren't they trying to take over again?

Well I just had to ask Charles. I believe that you would know if you were having any paranormal activity. That is strange. I would not like that one bit. I hope it doesn't happen again.

True. There have been many instances where 1000's of people in major cities have reported witnessing the same events. More so in less Urban areas of course, where the city lights dont shroud the night sky so much.

That's true Peter. I definitely can't identify what I saw that night. I know what my gut tells me, but I'm well aware that is far from proof. I fear though that the only thing that will convince some people is if aliens actually came down, and walked right up to them. I've never heard of the Marfa Lights. I'll have to look that up. Well, I also had f9ur hours of missing time when I was 14. I was in my bedroom watching TV. It was 11:29 PM on a Friday night. I know because whatever show I was waiting to watch was about to come on (Lettermna, Johnny, something like that). A light filled my window. I got scared and dove under the window so whoever was looking in couldnt see me and I could hopefully surprise them if they came through. The light died and nobody was outside. I looked at my VCR which was also my clock, and it was 3:32. True story.

I would of loved to seen what AZ witnessed a few years ago. Big monster mother ship flying over your city. Way cool. I have always been a believer. I was when I was young and I think it is just because it is logical. If you look at space, all those galaxies, suns, planets and even moons. No way are we along.

I love one old story about two UFO ships that were being watched off of Canada under the ocean. They were not in deep water. They watched them for a week repair the other ship. Both Canadian and US navy ships had to chase off a soviet ship or sub. It is an older story but semi-well documented.

Over active imagination perhaps... or maybe you actually saw something like a weather balloon or a flying night plane that was remote controlled.

Me and some friends witnessed something similar. we all followed the light and we ended up finding some people out in the camping grounds using a remote controlled helicopter they had added flashing lights to.

It was pretty kool, and lots of people began to show up to see what it was. There are some pretty kool toys on the market place that can be souped up with flashing lights and stuff.

If there are other people on other planets (ET's/Aliens) they won't come to Earth. They will just pass this wasteland up and keep on going.

That's funny! Years and years ago, we were all in the den watching TV, when we saw a light float by. The dog, Dixie, nearly tore out a strip-- almost foaming at the mouth. (She was not fond of floating things ever since she saw Daddy go up in a balloon, and was panicked until he came down again.) Anyway, we all RUSHED outside to see what it was, and there it was, floating off in the distance.

We ran outside the fence, tore up the street, and finally, we saw it-- it was a dry cleaners bag, with a candle in it-- a crude hot air balloon. Ansel Lowry, the kid down the street had made it. He was a fire bug, anyway. In fact, about 10 years later, he was found dead, burned to death, where he had tried to commit arson on a warehouse, filled with Christmas toys for the Goodfellow's Christmas party, but his attempts only lit HIM on fire.

So, yeah, some things have very usual and normal explanations-- even if we don't know what they are. Others, don't. Smile.gif

Feddy, every time I see your avatar, it makes me smile.

There is the strange situation in Missouri where lights appear and just hang in the air, than will vanish. Thousands of people have seen them, including scientists, gov't agency and no one can explain them.

They are out there and watching us.
