Well, it's finally happened: my Newsvine account has been permanently suspended, for "deathwishing" (seriously!),whatever that is; I guess NV has been reduced to inventing offenses in order to purge those of independent persuasion. Here is the post (re: NV's new format)that got me that black spot on my permanent record (shudder):
Whoever NV hired to put this kludge together should have been taken out and shot at sunrise, BEFORE implementing it.
Methinks somebody had their widdwe feewings hurt.

It wasn't so untimely, Perrie: I had pretty much decided to abandon NV, after experiencing the new format. My participation there was way down anyway, as so many of my NV friends had already made their exits.
I think they're looking for any excuse, Mickey.

Oh, I agree. I'll miss a few people, but at least I'll still be able to read their articles and seeds (if I can find them), even if I can't participate in the conversation.
Apropos of which: I've dropped in on the Vine a couple of times since, and noticed that the number of comments on various articles which I would have expected to generate a lot of action is way down.
Well, I sure haven't entertained the notion of shooting up the NV offices. I was a little irritated at first, and had a nice snarky email exchange with Sally, but it has seemed to me for a while that NV had been taken over by a bunch of middle-schoolers, so when I thought about, it was more a relief than anything (I occasionally sub at our middle school, so I know whereof I speak!).

LOL Jim! Don't worry. I didn't mean you were "death wishing". It just that we have seen a pattern of behavior that happens when banned members come here that you are not showing. I call that PTVS.
Brave soul. I did that for a month and decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Went back toelementaryand decided... I've raised too many kids.

I got banned for posting an article that included about 25 direct CoH violations (including links) by one person directed at me. And they didn't even tell me I was banned.
Ah, but you called attention to their failure (in your case, to moderate): that's a cardinal sin, doncha know?
