I'm just gettin' started ... I'm hoping for 2-3 more weeks of this in the mountains ... then I'll come back down to Philly and see what I can find in the many, many acres of park land in and around the city.

Tough life.

Care to join me?

Let me know.

I told my daughter about these pictures and how I missed Ct in the fall. She just received that new digital phone thingy and sent me these that she took at Lake Waramaug and Kent Falls where we used to go for picnics 10683_discussions.jpg . I hope this is OK to add here.

Some of these digital phones have not only pretty good cameras built-in but they have an HDR a high dynamic range setting making the pictures way beyond what anybody should expect from a phone!

I'm not sure of my ground here A, would you consider these as good quality shots? I have some old shots that I took years ago when we used to picnic at Kent Falls and at the Campbell Falls over in Norfolk before they turned it into a park.

To which shots do you refer? Regardless, anyone and all images are welcomed in my discussions, in Photography & Art forum topic and/or Photography as Fine Art Group.

No one judges or criticizes that which is shared herein, and, should anyone request critiques, we'll certainly oblige.

Post away!

She inherited your good eye for composition. The framing of the waterfall by the maple leaves is a good strategy ... unfortunately cell phones can't adjust aperture and control depth of field so the waterfall is well-focused ... the leaves not so much -- probably some wind-caused motion blur.

The bottom picture is outstanding!

Thanks. That means a lot. I'm a bit prejudiced where she is concerned and I thought she had taken some good shots and told her so. You bringing the technical expertise out, which I lack, confirms she is doing well.
