The Day After; Re-Discovering Some Limitations … Part II … Interesting what One Finds Among the Forgotten
Yesterday, I came across an old friend; if you haven't read about it, you can do so at

Today, in spending quality time with my old friend, I was reminded of what some might regard as, a few limitations .
Stepping away from the "old friend" metaphor and into the literal, I'm talking about a "close up" lens and what it can and cannot do. One ordinarily expects a camera lens to deliver sharp, clear, well-focused results. But, for a number of logistical, optical reasons, this lens has a narrow focusing range, and, because it is designed to work in close proximity to its subjects, is unforgiving when its user is even an inch or so out of "optimal shooting distance."
AND THAT'S JUST WONDERFUL!
I MEAN IT!
Serendipity has given me several (IMO) extremely beautiful images today; not quite able to focus precisely several times this afternoon, the lens' limitations and unforgiving nature
GAVE ME SHOTS LIKE
Like an ethereal dream, this Cosmos flower, in a softly-focused moment, photographed thus!
Tomorrow, I hope to create more such "poor" images.
Can't wait.

If I am lucky, tomorrow my new lens will fail some more.
I really like the depth of field on a macro lens but wish that I had several cameras when I take pictures to utilize other lenses, because I never see just one picture....
The colors are absolutely vivid, I expect to smell the flower and see a bee landing on it as I look at the image
Great shot
