That would be a Blue Grosbeak ... it's the only one I've ever seen. It came to my feeder one afternoon, hung around for about an hour ... then left. Never saw it again.
Grackles and mourning doves aplenty, Lots of jays too. Not seen many Downys but lots of others (we get a ton of flickers that move through in the spring though) my favorite is the Catbird. They are very funny birds.
Love thegrosbeakbut only see the rosebreastedonce in a while.
There is one little guy that I can't identify and I don't see around here. That is the black and white one with the flash of red on him ( not the woodpeckers). He's a real cutie.
I can't recall how many pics into the rotation it is, but there's a turquoise colored one in there that is my absolute favorite.
But then I'd put every photo in there on my wall.

Life's little moments...
Great shots Mac!
We have many birds in common!

Very nice and thanks!
Thank you and you're welcome.
BTW, are you still big on baseball? I may have some shots I have not posted.
Yup and that'd be great!
Grew up a Red's fan but turned into a Twinkie (Twin's fan) since moving up north.
There is just something cool about old baseball shots. I think it's mostly the nostalgia, like a homey feeling or something.
I have some from 2011 Phillies and some others from the 80's and nineties ... I'll dig 'em out and post them soon.
Ok thanks!
Really wonderful shots Mac.
