When you actually see thevolumeof planes in the air, it is almost amiraclethat there are not more collisions. That wastrulysurprising!
I think there are now a lot of electronic safeguards (but, of course, there are still occasional mishaps).
Here's another one-- what happened when planes in US were grounded, early on 9/11. (Because it was very early in the day, there was not yet much air traffic in the western time zones).
Pretty amazing to watch...
