An Illinois man, Roland Ball , alleges that he popped the top on a can of Mountain Dew and found a dead mouse inside. He'd purchased the soda in November 2009. He's suing Pepsi Co.
Pepsi, on the other hand, says Ball's claim is impossible -- because a dead mouse would dissolve if submerged in Mountain Dew over an extended period of time.
Yes, you read that right. Pepsi is claiming that their soda, the soda that they want you to pour down your esophagus into your stomach as often as possible, has enough acid in it to dissolve a carcass.
Yum, yum.
Pepsi had a veterinary pathologist weigh in. The expert testified that if there was truly a mouse in the can, which was sealed and shipped in April 2008, the body would have turned into a "jelly-like substance" by the time it was purchased over a year later.
In case you were wondering, Ball did take a sip of the mouse-pop. He claims he noticed a "foul taste," poured the drink into a cup... and discovered the rodent. He's seeking $50,000.
We're never drinking soda again, thanks.

This is gross and the same could be said about coke.
A personal story. I used to eat Nips. I loved them. One day I was about to pop on in my mouth when my finger ran into something rough on the nip. Turned out that it was a roach legembeddedinto the nip. When I calledNestle about it, they said it was to be expected since they are allowed X% of insects in their foods and that they would give me coupons for free products. I have never had a nip again!
