It isnt always easy to tell from a persons appearance what their religion is. Im not going to use as examples people who have converted from their birth religion, cause thats not fair. But I do hope to surprise you with some of these. I will certainly be giving some stereotypical examples, so God forgive me for that

I've been asked by random people if I'm Jewish. "No. Why do you ask?"
Then they proceed to stumble over some poorly formulated answer that has more to do with the size of my nose than anything else. Then I get to make them feel bad by explaining my Native American heritage. The facial features are the one thing that hasn't diffused substantially over the generations.
People are stupid sometimes....
Even if Charlton Heston was not Jewish before his career he automatically become one when he portrayed Moses on the screen .

I was raised Christian and discovered in the last year and a half that my grandma on mom's side was actually a German Jew who left Germany after WWI and changed her identity as protection from persecution. I was kindaflummoxedby that when I first realized it. After a coupla days though I thought "Uh, ya know Larry, this really doesn't change anything". Weird how thosediscoveriesbring up such existential questions. I suppose more than anything it has strengthened my resolve.

It turns out that her father is Syrian -- now "Syrian-American". Both of her parents are Jewish.

Other than Krishna, didn't anybody want to guess who was Jewish and who wasn't? The Paula Abdul one floored me when I saw it, but then so did Lisa Bonet and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Sure, I added Charleton Heston and Renee Zellweger because they had played Jews on film, and Gregory Peck had pretended to be a Jew on Gentlemen's Agreement although none of them are Jewish. Of course Jim Carrey and Jack Lemmon are not. Kate Hudson's mother is Goldie Hawn who most people know is Jewish. I hadn't known the Gyllenhaals or Joaqin Phoenix were Jewish, but I think many people knew Peter Sellers and Dinah Shore were. Scarlett Johanssen is a perfect example of someone who doesn't Jewish, but is. Louise Ranierand Paul Muni arefrom a different generation so I thought most people wouldn't know they were Jewish.
Krishna, I can't open a lot of your photos for some reason, but no matter. The paratroopers are no surprise as they would be Yemenites or Somalians, as would be the other blacks you posted. The pretty young girl saluting could have been Jewish or not IMO.

Somehow that cut off-- the woman in the very last picture is also an Arab christian.
I think almost all of the "blacks" in these pictures are Ethiopian or Falashas (all Jews).The one exception is the man in the next to the last picture-- I think he might actually be a Bedouin Arab.
There are a small number of Somalis, Eritreans, Darfur, etc and others from that area who entered Israel illegally-- they are not Jewish, many are Muslims. I don't think any are in the IDf yet.
