A lot of good advice, common sense maybe, but words to live by in my view
A couple of key items for me --
Any of these pieces of advice strike a special cord with you?
Or do you have a simple, common-sense piece of advice from your own life to share with us?
These are priceless!
I once knew a wonderful, older cowboy, named Morgan... We were out west on a "dude" ranch, and the very first day, we rode 40 miles. It took from sun up to way past dark, and we were dead. Utterly dead tired when we got back. Morgan peeled us off the horses and helped us stand up, and then, went over to my father, tapped him on the shoulder, and told him, "Bud, it ain't necessary to kill your womenfolk to have a good time."
Gee, what a thought.
''Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.'' LOL, it darn sure helps you survive to a ripe old age.
''Old age and treachery beats youth and skill every time''.

I don't wear spurs Mark, but I have pissed on a few fences in my lifetime. LOLOL, haven't been electrocuted yet. But than again as I got older the ''stream'' isn't what it used to be...So, I guess I better stay away from the electrified fences in my old age.

At our age, one big shock and electric arc could do us in
LOL, it could RIO. Or it could get our hearts really pumping. I don't think I want to try it again and see which of those two it would be.
I agree
