An Environmentalist Seeks Truth, Finds It In Climate Skepticism
David Siegel is a vegan because he believes it's better for the environment. He is a Democrat who feels strongly that governments have a role in protecting the environment. In the early 1990s, he was right there with Al Gore on the global warming issue.
Today, though, he is a denier.

Earlier this year, Siegel "became interested in climate science" so he "decided to spend the better part of this year trying to learn what I could."
"It didn't take long before it was clear that there isn't likely going to be any catastrophic warming this century," he writes in what might the king of all skeptic sites, Watts Up With That .
After schooling himself, Siegel said, "I wrote a 9,000-word essay aimed at liberals who have a voice, who have access to media and who might take 30 minutes to educate themselves." He wanted the likes of Jon Stewart and George Clooney "and other influential liberals" to learn what he did. Though he submitted his work "to every liberal publication, from the LA Times to the Atlantic Monthly to National Geographic to Huffington Post and many more," he was — of course — turned down by all. These outlets don't have time for deniers' work, no matter how compelling it might be.
But even deniers have a platform in today's wild world of the Web, so Siegel's work can be found at this link.

Like most people who encounter the truth, Siegel simply wants to share what he's learned. He discovered that the science is not settled, that climatologist James Hansen and Gore have over 30 years built a mammoth public relations machine based on the credibility of its messengers and "repetition, not science," and that "(the United Nations') Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and others are pursuing a political agenda and a PR campaign, not scientific inquiry. There's a tremendous amount of trickery going on under the surface."

The media are devoted to accepting global warming as the gospel . But there is no actual global warming . There may be Arctic warming but even that seems to have reached a plateau . In any case the theory of greenhouse gases predicts that greenhouse gases would cause warming that would be global . But the lack of such warming indicates that the theory is badly flawed .
